If you are looking for a movie to make you dance and laugh then Mamma Mia is that movie. It is a girl flick yes but I think everyone would enjoy it. The film came out in 2008 and was directed by Phyllida Lloyd. It stars Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, and Amanda Seyfried. The soundtrack includes songs from ABBA.
This movie takes place in a cliffside city in a Greek island. Daughter, Sophie is about to get married and wants to invite her father to the wedding. The only problem is that she does not know who her father is. With information from her mother she invites three men who could potentially be her father. She does not tell her mother. The mother, Donna rekindles the memories of her younger pursuits while Sophia creates relationships with all three men.
This is one of my favorite movies and watch it on a regular basis while singing ABBA songs. I give this a 5 out of 5 stars.
