The page count for this Penguin Modern Classics edition of The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick (with ISBN 9780141186672) is currently listed as 256, but the correct count is 229.

Hi! WorldCat, our preferred source for page numbering, says this book has 248 pages. Could you please verify with your copy what is the content of pages 230-248? We count all end contents except for advertisements, excerpts for another book, and blank pages.

Hi, no problem. The last numbered page is 228, but page 229 is the last page of story content. Page 230 is blank and pages 231 to 237 are advertisements for other books (presumably in the same Penguin Modern Classics series) such as George Orwell's Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four. Page 238 is simply a small, centered Penguin logo. There are no more pages, so the 248 listed in WorldCat couldn't be correct for this particular edition.
