The Challenge Factory discussion

How This Challenge Works:
Take a road trip by connecting ten states (one book for each state) border to border.
The states have to connect on the map, with a couple exceptions. For this challenge, Alaska will 'connect' to Washington and Hawaii will 'connect' to California.

Wild Card
If you read a book with 400+ pages, you earn a wild card. Only two wild cards can be earned per trip. A wild card can be used in two different ways -
* In place of a state: say you are traveling from California to New Mexico, you could use the wild instead of reading a book for Arizona.
* As a plane: fly from the state you just finished to another state of the same color (see map below).
You cannot start or end with a wild. Wilds can only be used between two states.



No page limit.
This is a 6 month challenge.

There are two levels you may choose from for this challenge:
EASY - states may be read in any order and changed around as needed
HARD - states must be used in the order you finish them and cannot be moved around

It took over a year to finish my road trips - I worked on two simultaneously, sort of a race from each side of the country. Still took more than the allotted six months to finish each! But I wasn't searching for the next book, I was only adding as I came across them. I think I'll try this again with more intentionality....
