I'm reading The Secret of Santa Vittoria by Robert CrichtonIt was the basis for the 1969 film of the same name starring Anthony Quinn & Anna Magnani.
Picking up Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart this Tuesday! So that’ll be my queer read. Currently reading Breasts and Eggs by Mieko Kawakami.
I just finished Knock Off the Hat: A Clifford Waterman Gay Philly Mystery
the first volume in what I hope will be a new series featuring a gay PI in post-WWII Philly. I'm curious to see the direction the series goes in.My *** review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm reading The Son Of Neptune by Rick Riordan, since I'm rereading the series (for the 100th time...)
Currently reading "Ties that Tether" by Jane Igharo. Idk how I feel about it so far, but it's keeping my attention!
Currently re-reading the Demon Road trilogyDemon Road. Honestly just as good as the first time, if not better!
Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo. So far, I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. For one thing, I like the author's sense of irony.
Just finished reading Milk Fed by Mellisa Broder which I loved, and A Certain Hunger by Chelsea Summers which just new me away!! I am looking forward to reading On Earth We Are Briefly Gorgeous!
I just finished R.F. Kuang's The Poppy War and I absolutely loved it. I also just started Fonda Lee's Jade War, the sequel to Jade City (which I loved).
Robert wrote: "I've read a bunch of N. K. Jemisin recently, but haven't gotten to The City We Became"It's actually the first book in a two part series, with the second book to be published later this year. There is also a stand-alone short story prequel.
I’m reading The Ethical Slut by Janet Hardy and Dossie Easton. It’s taken me a while to get through it, but it’s been an interesting read.
Really enjoyed Fifty-Four Pigs: A Dr. Bannerman Vet Mystery
, the first volume in a new mystery series featuring a rural Canadian veterinarian as the "detective." A great cast of characters and solid plotting. My **** review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
just finished Fantastic Land it was good. now I'm between books but thinking about "5ft apart" as a filler before I read "The Institute by Stephen King"
Just sent out the books for my NO MORE NECKTIES giveaway. Over 2000 entries. The rest of you will have to buy the book. :)
I'm currently in between reading The Poppy War, This Is How You Lose The Time War and The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea .
I just finished reading Missing from the Village: The Story of Serial Killer Bruce McArthur, the Search for Justice, and the System That Failed Toronto's Queer CommunityAbsolutely heartbreaking and tragic, but well-written.
