Following Dow's 2020 debut, The Sound of Stars, The Kindred is billed as a science fiction romance. It tells the story of two polar opposites who are psychically linked to one another and find themselves on the run... and crash-landed on Earth.

Have you read The Sound of Stars? What are your expectations for The Kindred? How do you feel about science fiction novels in general?

This was a book that I was sort of on the fence about. I thought that it had potential, but I wasn't sure that it would be for me.
