Friends of Snuggly Books discussion

I'm currently reading Bloy's The Desperate Man. He has similarities to Baron Corvo - a splenetic Catholic writer who borrowed lots of money from people and made himself a nuisance. I am enjoyed the Bloy more than I have enjoyed the Baron. I wondered if anyone else has thoughts on their respective merits and demerits.
