What did you think of the characters in Heir of Fire? Who is your favourite? Did you prefer reading about familiar characters or meeting new ones?

There are a lot of characters to remember so here's a bit of a refresher:
-Celaena, Rowan, Maeve, Luca, and Emrys.
-Chaol, Aedion, Ren, and Murtaugh.
-Dorian, Sorscha, and the King.
-Manon, Abraxos, Asterin, and the Ironteeth Witch Clans (Blackbeaks, Bluebloods, Yellowlegs).

Spoilers are okay for Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, and Heir of Fire.

Kylee (kyleeraereader) I know that a lot of people had problems with Manon's POV parts in this book but I actually absolutely love it. I adore her and Abraxos and how they come together, and I love the dynamics between the different witch clans. I can't wait until Celaena and Manon eventually meet, I want them to become best friends and rule the world together.

I also really love Rowan and Aedion. We obviously get more of Rowan in this book, but I can't wait to see more or Aedion and what part he is going to play.

Nadia Uhlenhaker I LOVE Rowan and Aedion and Emrys and Luca. I kinda hated the witches, but hopefully we can see them grow a heart.

YES! This has to happen!

But I'm sorry to say that I really did not like Rowan. I found him to be very abusive and couldn't stand it. Of course, Celaena provoked him quite often, but he reacted extremely aggressive and violent. In my opinion his behavior was unnecessary cruel and inexcusable, especially toward a woman/ person weaker than himself. Hopefully, that won't happen again.

Viola | 35 comments Yeah, he stopped being mean, because he got to know her. But that doesn't change the things he already did to her. Or makes them less horrible. Also I got the impression he would do it all over again with the next person which is my main problem, because he didn't regret abusing someone weaker per sé, but only someone who he likes. At least it felt that way for me.
Sorry, if I stopped being understandable, I get a little agitated on that topic.
No offense meant to anyone who loves Rowan, I totally get why everyone else fancies him. It was just something that bothered me and partly ruined my reading experience.
