I wrote a memoir about my first year in Mexico, 1975. I did not speak Spanish and my boyfriend (husband in the end) did not speak English. What an adventure in the simple life when he took me to the THE RANCH to meet his parents. I was from airplanes and swimming pools, he was from dirt floors and a stoic Otomi mother. Our two lives crossed cultural barriers, in time and space.
I am curious to know who else has written a bi cultural memoir, parallel reading style book? I gave the readers both languages, as resource for leaning. peace
