I read the first two books a very long time ago when they first came out which tells you how long ago that was - lol! I need to get back to reading them too. :)

Huge King fan since either middle school or high school, can't remember when I started. My all time King favorite is The Dark Tower series. As far as I'm concerned Oy is the greatest character in all of literature.

Big King fan here too - he was my first horror author. I have read a lot of his stuff years and years ago - I have a goal of wanting to reread everything I read of him back in the day. :)

I started a chronological King marathon (just his novels) back in October/November, I just finished up the Long Walk over vacation this week so I am starting The Dead Zone right now.I read the majority of his older books growing up but I felt that I needed to re-read them as an adult, plus there were some I just never read but saw the movies, etc. This has been really fun so far!
I am a big King fan, I read all of his books in published order. The Dark Tower series and Salem's Lot are my personal favorites. I started getting into reading about five years ago, and it was The Dark Tower that opened up the doorway to all these great places, characters, and people I've met.

I love reading him! I have read about half of his works. I was talking to a friend yesterday about Thinner. I had read that story the same time I was in a massive weight loss program where I dropped 70lbs in 8 months.
Talk about creepy:)

That is tough1. It
2. The Stand
3. Dark Tower Series: Specifically
A. The Drawing of the Three
B. The Waste Lands
C. Wizard and Glass
4. Pet Sematary
5. The Green Mile
6. The Outsider
7. The Institute
8. Duma Key
I will have to add Cell to my list
I have noticed I ponder Duma Key more than any other book. Pet Sematary is probably on the short list for the creepiest book I have read. I like the Dark Tower series so much I am reading the graphic novels and on my all time favorite book list It and The Stand stands proud.

We will probably be doing a buddy read for the Dark Tower series - that is something we want to read - I have only read books 1 & 2 but want to step into the whole series.

I love finding connections to it in his other novels. Have read the series twice, but a re-read is definitely on the cards! Just give me a start date and I’m in
I love SK but haven’t read everything yet.I think It is my favourite
Followed by The Shining .. also needs a re-read, The Stand and Salem’s Lot
Duma Key made a big impression on me too. Probably because I was reading it alone on night shift. This was just before I had to check corridors, turning off the lights behind me.. then walk along a dark road to the bus stop.. next to the sea. (Shudder)

I'm a big Stephen King fan though I'm far from having read all of his stuff. My favorites are the DT series and Desperation. I just re-read Desperation last month and it just gets better every time I read it.

I've read almost everything by SK (definitely everything mentioned above. I plan to read the rest in the near future. The Dark Tower is my favorite! Has anyone else read the Dark Tower comics? The Gunslinger Born They're incredible! They spend a lot of time on Roland's origin story & go way beyond the novels. They then adapted the 1st 2 novels before they stopped (thanks to the the film that flopped. I'm hoping that the new owners of the publishing rights (Gallery 13) decide to start the comics up again.

Sure, I don't mind doing that at all. :)
I just finished the Dark Tower series and it definitely had its ups and downs, but I definitely enjoyed my experience. I’m trying to read all of Stephen King. It’ll happen one of these days.

I found mine (by a beautiful combination of luck and chance) at a store we have here called Ollie's. I don't know if that store is everywhere or just here in the south, but they have overstock stuff from bigger stores for really good prices. I've also seen them at 2nd and Charles.

The first time I read DT I would read them during my lunch breaks at work. We used to just eat at our desks and I felt like every few minutes I'd gasp and my friend next to me would ask what happened and I'd break it all down and why it was amazing. She put up with a lot from me those few months.
Here's a question for you all.
What books would you like to see made into a mini-series and/or movies?
What books would you like to see made into a mini-series and/or movies?
I’d like DT done but done correctly. I once heard someone say it should be done as a tv series with a movie after each season. I tend to agree but someone would have to front the big bucks cause it would be several seasons and several movies. Otherwise, not to be overly fan girl about Desperation but Desperation would be a pretty easy movie to make.

There is a movie - tv movie - came out in 2006

I have seen that movie actually though it has been awhile. It is good. You should go check it out. It is lengthy though - about 2 hours long. :)
