A New Dawn - (Warriors RP) discussion

Spiderkit blinked open her eyes as the sunight started to appear through the top of the den. It was barely dawn and glancing around at the other cats in the nursery she saw that nobody else was awake yet.
She looked up at Iceblossom, who had her tail wrapped around Spiderkit's body while she was sleeping peacefully, and sighed putting her head back on on her paws. If the sky was waking up that meant that so should they. Unfortunately, it seemed her littermates did not feel the same as they continued to sleep in the nest beside her.

Spiderkit watched as Smokekit snuck out, her tail twitching. Where was he going? She glanced back at Iceblossom wondering if she should follow but he was back before she could. Dragging a mouse from the prey pile in with him

Spiderkit licked her lips and inched her way out from Iceblossom's tail. She came up behind Smokekit and flopped dramatically in front of him, her tail curling around her paws as her eyes danced with mischief. Oh good! You brought me breakfast! I'm starving she meowed. Her eyes flicked from his face to the mouse and back again, And mouse is my favorite! You're so sweet she made a move as if she was going to take the mouse from him and waited for his reaction.

Spiderkit narrowed her eyes playfully and pounced at him, planning to steal the mouse anyways. She misjudged her landing though and her small frame collided with their mother. She pushed herself off the ground and shook, a lazy grin on her face as her mother blinked open her eyes

Iceblossom woke to Spiderkit falling into her. She opened her eyes to see the kit perfectly fine and happy and her eyes drifted to where Smokekit stood a few mouse-lengths away with a mouse in his jaw. "Did you fetch that yourself? she purred to him

Iceblossom's eyes danced with amusement but she didn't let her kits see it. "If you're already catching prey like that, you'll be the best hunter in the clan before long!"

Spiderkit glared at Smokekit, "But Mama! I want to be the best hunter in the clan!" she protested

Spiderkit was knocked back by the impact of her brother, her tiny frame not braced for the attack. "I'm not a rat kit, you are!" she growled playfully and kicked him off of her before pouncing at him again, sending the two kits rolling around the nursery. The mouse all but forgotten

Iceblossom stood up and stretched, then started to clean the bits of moss from her fur, smoothing it down as she went. Keeping an eye on her kits as they play fought to be sure they didn't get to rough or go tumbling through the nursery wall or anything.

Snowkit woke, annoyed with the noise his littermates were making. His ears twitched in frustration when he saw the two of them tumbling around. He glanced up at the sky through the top of the den, It was only dawn! The rest of the camp was probably still sleeping. His eyes drifted to the abandoned mouse next to the nest and his eyes glittered with hunger. At least the two of them were good for something he thought as he crept towards the mouse

Spiderkit smoothed her own fur with a glare in Smokekit's direction but was eager to hear Iceblossom's answer so didn't retort.

Iceblossom's gentle gaze settled on Smokekit, "You can't be apprentice's yet because you have to be a bit older. Plus, I'd miss you wat to much if you left me now"

Iceblossom flicked her tail over his ear, "You can all share the mouse, there's plenty there" she told him. And turning to Snowkit, "But Smokekit did get it so he should get the first share"

Snowkit dropped the mouse and nudged it closer to Smokekit

Spiderkit darted forward before her brother could and took as big of a bite as she could from the mouse. She took a step back with a grin on her face as she struggled to chew the giant bite.

Snowkit flicked her with his tail as he bent to take a normal-sized bite and he chewed and swallowed as he watched his sister struggle with amusement

Spiderkit finally managed to swallow the last of her mouse. She sat up, her eyes shining. She pranced over to Smokekit, "Let's go plaaaaaaaay She sang while sitting directly in front of him, whiskers quivering

Spiderkit paused, she hadn't thought this through all the way. She half expected to have to go play by herself Errr-, what do YOU want to play?"

Snowkit snorted with laughter, "Why don't we go play Stormclan vs Blazeclan?" he suggested, tail twitching in anticipation

"I'm a BlazeClan warrior!!" Spiderkit yipped as she ran towards the entrance to the nursery and out into the main camp

Snowkit's tail swished back and forth, low to the ground in annoyance. "You guys always make me be the bad guy!" But he followed Spiderkit out of the den to play, just excited to be playing at all

"I'll be...... Spiderstrike!" Spiderkit decided, right before she pounced at Snowkit, who stepped out of the way and crouched down playfully, causing her to fall short and miss, falling at his feet instead.

"Nobody pounces on Snowstar! he said, puffing out his chest

Ice blossom nodded her head, giving them permission to go outside and got up to follow them.

Snowkit bared his teeth and let out a growl, "You'll never defeat me Smokestar!" and he kicked the other kit off of him before crouching down and pouncing at him, attempting to pin him down

Spider kit came running up from the side and barreled into Snowkit, knocking him off of Smokekit, "For BlazeClan!!!!" she screamed

Spiderkit stood behind him, her tail twitching excitedly.

Snowkit went limp in defeat, "Fine, fine. I surrender" he said, rolling his eyes

Spider kit looked around and shrugged, plopping down at the base of the rock. "I wish we could explore the forest"

Snowkit watched the two of them with narrowed eyes. "We can't go outside though, we're not apprentices get"

Spider kit nodded enthusiastically, before glancing at Ice blossom. "What if mama doesn't let us?" she asked her brother

Spiderkit glanced around, a gleam in her eyes as she tried to come up with something. "We could....." she trailed off. unsure

Spiderkit nodded, "Yeah, but I'm not the one that's gonna tell her. Not it!"

Snowkit rolled his eyes but got to.his feet. He flicked Smokekit with his tail as he walked past towards Ice blossom who was laying over by the nursery. He spoke with her for a moment and her eyes flicked over to where the leader usually slept before watching her kits for a moment.

Spiderkit watched, waiting to see if she would believe Snowkits story. Ice blossom got to her feet and started walking towards the leader den. Snowkit turned and bounded back to them "It worked!" he meowed excitedly

Oakleaf looked at the kits that were suddenly gathered in front of him. "I don't think I'm supposed to do that" he told them

"But please!" Spiderkit squeaked

Oakleaf sighed and stood up, "Fine but only for a moment and then we come back"

Spiderkit looked at Smokekit, her eyes full of excitement

Spiderkit and Snowkit followed as well

Once they were outside Oakleaf sat down and gestured around them with his tail. "Hurry up so we can get back before anyone realizes your gone"

Oakleaf scented the air and narrowed his eyes at the kit, "I don't smell a fox"

Spiderkit huddled close to Smokekit, couching down in fake fear "But Oakleaf if it IS a fox it could eat us. Will you please just check anyways?"

Heatherclaw sat in his den, clearing up his herbs and neatly arranging them into piles.

Oakleaf rolled his eyes but gave in to the kits plea He walked off a ways pretending to check the undergrowth for foxes

Spiderkit looked at her brothers, "Now's our chance!" she meowed excitedly

Iceblossom had gone searching for her leader but they weren't there, and she didn't see her kits in the main camp. She decided to check the medicine den, trying to ignore her rising panic and hoping they were in there. She made her way into the den only to see Heather law alone, no kits. Her ears twitched with anxiety and her tail was swishing near the ground betraying her nervousness

"Everything alright, Iceblossom?" Heatherclaw asked, looking up from his small herb piles

"I don't know. I don't know where the kits have wandered off to" the queen meowed nervously

"I think I heard them wandering off with Oakleaf somewhere."

Spiderkit and Snowkit took off running after Smokekit into the forest.

Oakleaf heard the kits yell and turned to see why. He scanned the small clearing and didn't see the kits. oh this was bad, he scented the air and started to follow after them

Iceblossoms ears perked up, "Out of camp? They're only 3 moons old!"

"Out of camp? Didn't they only go to the dirt place?"

Iceblossom calmed down, "Oh, you're right. I guess I'm just a little panicky. Sorry to bother you Heather law"

Spiderkit slowed to a halt, panting from the sudden sprint. Snowkit stopped next to her.
She shot a grin at him and then glanced around to where she thought Smokekit would be.
"That was a good plan Smokekit. What now?" she stopped, realizing her brother wasn't there. "Smokekit?!" she called

Oakleaf picked up Smokekit scent and whirled around. He spotted him through the underbrush and padded over, "Where are Spiderkit and Snowkit?" he asked the kit

Oakleaf ignored him, "Were all going back to camp before Iceblossom starts to worry. where are they?" he asked again

The other 2 kits were wandering pretty much in a large circle trying to find something familiar

Spiderkit perked her ears up at Smokekits cry, "Their that way!" she flicked her tail in the direction and started walking to them

Snowkits ears flattened to his head, "Were gonna be in trouble aren't we"

Oakleaf fixed him with a glare, "Yes, I will be telling your mother. It's dangerous to be wandering out here on your own

Heatherclaw heard the kits returning alongside Oakleaf. "See, Iceblossom, I told you they wouldn't be far!" He told her, giggling internally, knowing that the kits left by themselves. At least they had a little bit of an adventure, he told himself, shaking his head slowly, remembering himself sneaking off to sniff herbs as an adventurous young kit.

Iceblossom rushed out to the clearing to meet the kits. When she saw Oakleaf walking in with Smokekit in his jaws and the other two sulking by his paws she narrowed her eyes. "Smokekit. Why is Oakleaf having to carry you back into camp?"

"A... silver fox?" Iceblossom asked, confused. Her eyes flicking to Oakleaf's for some explanation but he shrugged, not knowing what the kit was saying

*HalfPaw padded out of the apprentices den confused on to what was going on* "What is the matter, why do you guys look so suprised?" *He said his eyes flickering back and forth between the cats*

Spiderkit nodded her head enthusiastically, "Yeah! It was even bigger than a tree actually!"
iceblossom purred in amusement, "Oh yeah, and how big was it then?

Iceblossom purred in amusement, their little adventure mostly forgotten, "Of course we can, come on now" she meowed turning to lead the way to the nursery. She noticed Halfpaw then, "Hello, Halfpaw, it's good to see you"

Spiderkit and Snowkit bounced excitedly at the mention of food. And followed to the nursery

Snowkit nodded, "Yeah, if you hadn't gotten caught we coulda explored the whole forest!" he said
