Suntail curled her tail around her 2 remaining kits protectively. A deep sadness in her eyes. "They're ok, I haven't noticed anything" she hadn't even looked up at her medicine cat. Her eyes were focused entirely on her kits. Focusing on them was the only way she could avoid focusing on the cats they had lost.

After a moment she did raise her eyes, "Why would StarClan take so many?" she whispered to Owlwhisper. It was a question she had asked before, and one she didn't really expect an answer to but she couldn't stop herself from asking all the same

((Yes, so we have to do that and then at some point make Blackthorn deputy as well))

((I'm thinking of killing off Duskkit with like delayed drowning or something.... Just to add more drama I guess. I just feel like Lionkit should be an only kit

Suntail dipped her head in a silent greeting to Falconswoop. "Yes, they are a blessing" she studied the warrior fora moment before continuing, "How are you doing?" the queen asked

Iceblossom rubbed a cheek against his side in a comforting gesture, "I'm truly sorry, we have all suffered great loss and we must now all work together to get through it" she meowed sadly

((I meant suntail xD sorry!

((Sure, do you want Suntail to adopt the surviving kit?

((Oh, what if because she adopts his kit after a while they start to get really close and end up becoming mates? Totally don't have to but it could be interesting

Suntails ears perked up when she heard Owlwhisper call out to Falconswoop and... Dove kit? She stood to go over to them but glanced at her own kits, unwilling to leave them alone as they slept. But she went to the other kit anyways. "Is she ok?" she asked Owlwhisper, concern clear in her voice

Suntail licked the kits head in comfort as Owlwhisper examined the painful leg. "It'll be alright little one" she meowed softly to her

Suntail scanned the makeshift camp but there wasn't much to work with. She glanced at her own kits, unwilling to leave them here to find sticks. She turned to look at Falconswoop, worry in her eyes, "There must be some not far from here, right?" she asked, her tail twitching nervously.

Suntail sat in her nest, tail curled around her kits as she watched Owlwhisper work. She watched the small kit and winced a bit as she could tell she was in pain. She turned to Falconswoop, a gentle look on her face.
"I know that I am not Sageheart," she told him, starting slowly, "But Dovekit is going to need someone to watch over her" she swept her tail over Lionkits sleeping body, "I have room for one more in my nest" she told him

Suntail came back to Dovekit and placed her paws on either side of the leg, "Like this?" she asked

Suntail nodded, her tail flicking nervously. "How can I help her recover?" she asked

Suntail nodded, commiting his words to memory. She glanced back at her own kits, who had come out relatively unharmed and felt her heart ache for Dovekit and Falconswoop. "Can I move her to my nest?" she asked

Suntail placed the tip of her tail along the kits back, "Shhhh, it's ok little one" she meowed gently, "Your leg was broken during the storm, but Owlwhisper has started it healing" she told her

Suntail dipped her head in gratitude. "If you don't mind" she touched her nose to the kits head comfortingly before gently lifting her, doing her best to be careful of her leg

Lionkit stared up at the medicine cat. "What happened to her? Where's her mom?" he looked at Suntail, wondering why this new kit was in their nest with them.

Duskkit glared at Dovekit, Suntail shouldn't have brought her over here. She would never replace Stripekit OR Ashkit.

Suntail brushed her tail over Duskkit in a clear gesture to be good as she set Dovekit down

Suntail nodded, "Stay here please" she murmured to the kits before following Owlwhisper out of the nursery

"Falconswoop will make a wonderful leader if that's who you choose, and now that Dovekit is back I believe it gives him even more reason to rebuild this clan into what it once was" Suntail told him, her tail flicking nervously with the responsibility of this decision, "But I agree that this is a difficult choice. Has...." she trailed off, glancing at the sky, "Has StarClan been any help with this?" she asked.
Although the queen's faith was shaken after the tragedy their clan had suffered, she still clung to it as the only solid thing in her life. There had to be a reason they had allowed this to happen

"Falconswoop is not alone in raising Dovekit" she reminded Owlwhisper, "Why don't you ask him how he feels about it?"

Emberpaw walked out of her den. She shied away from the two cats talking.

((Should I just say no?))
Emberpaw frowned, a crease wrinkling her usually smooth forehead. "I don't think so... But I had a horrible dream last night..."

((Okie!))
Emberpaw flicked her tail, uneasy. "It was sort of blurry. I could only make out a small cat. I think it was Dovekit. Something was happening... That's all I remembered."

"I don't really remember... Can you explain what happened to Dovekit so the details make more sense?" Emberpaw asked, glad for the small comfort of Owlwhisper's tail.

Emberpaw's eyes widened. "That must have been so scary... I don't understand how you do it, Owlwhisper."

"Okay, I'll get started!" Emberpaw went into the woods near the camp, knowing that she could find birch bark there.

"Okay!" Emberpaw said, but it was kind of muffled, as she was pulling birch bark off a tree.

"Sure!" Emberpaw sees a few more poppy petals near where Owlwhisper found them.

((I'm thinking Duskkit is gonna start showing signs of being sick now. Just so you know Ava, he's going to end up passing from delayed drowning))

Lionkit and Dovekit were playing in the clearing while Suntail kept a close eye on both of them.

"You'll never take me alive!" Lionkit screeched as he ran from his littermate.

"You will pay for stealing Duskclan's prey!" Duskkit yelled after him as he gave chase. The tiny kit suddenly broke out in a coughing fit and skidded to a halt, unable to stop coughing.

Suntail jumped up from where she was and ran to him, stroking a soothing tail along his back. He looked up at her with tears in his eyes as the coughing slowed to a stop. "It was like I couldn't breathe" he cried to her. Suntail licked the kit on the head, "You're alright my love, I'm sure you swallowed a bug on accident. I'm sure it won't happen again"

Lionkit, who had crept up to them while he had been coughing started giggling. "You swallowed a bug!" he laughed

Duskkit trotted up to Owlwhisper, his earlier coughing fit all but forgotten. "What's that?" he asked, looking at the feather.

Duskkit nodded, putting a serious face on as he studied the feather. He didn't quite grasp what the medicine cat was saying and quickly grew distracted and forgot what he was doing,
"Soooooo, can we play with it?" he asked.

"Oh! That sounds like fun, do you have one?" he asked the medicine cat. Before giving him a chance to respond he started to talk again, "Earlier we were playing clans and I swallowed a bug!"

Duskkit pounced after the ball, Lionkit quickly following behind him. They played for a few minutes before Duskkit started to cough again, causing their game to come to a halt as he crouched down unable to stop

Suntail's ears twitched and she started to go to him with concern in her eyes but before she could reach the kits the coughing stopped and they were playing again. She tried to brush the creeping feeling of panic away and settled down, reasoning that she'd just watch him extra closely

((No worries))

Suntail shook her head, "Everything's fine" she was silent for a moment before, "Probably"

She looked up at Falconswoop, her tail swishing back and forth on the ground and her ears tilted back.

"Duskkit had a bad coughing fit earlier and I thought he must have swallowed a bug or something harmless" she told him, "But he just did it again and I dont know.... I'm probably overthinking"

Emberpaw walked up to Owlwhisper, watching the cats come closer. "Wow. That's a lot of cats."

Her ears flattened against her skull, yet she tried to stop being scared. Stormclan needed to know this announcement.

"Yeah... I just don't like a crowd," Emberpaw mumbled back.

"It's fine. I like the view up here anyways," Emberpaw said, looking at the sky and the meadows down below the camp.

Blackthorn poked his head out of the warriors' den at Owlwhispers call. And padded over to sit in the middle of the clearing. He brushed an affectionate tail over Suntail's shoulder as he passed.

Suntail shooed Lionkit and Duskkit just inside the nursery so that they would be out of the way and settled down, her tail wrapped around her paws, just outside the entrance to the nursery where she could see and hear both the kits and the meeting.

Silverflame moved from the corner of camp where she had been resting to sit closer to the rock as well. Staring up with dull eyes, wondering what it could be about

Emberpaw watched the new cats join and whispered to Owlwhisper, "I think everyone's here."

Emberpaw could feel her growing excitement. She knew that Falconswoop would be a good leader.

Emberpaw smiled at him, hoping to make him feel less afraid of his coming future.

Suntail sat with a content smile on her face. Falconswoop was a good choice for. leader and she was happy for him.

Emberpaw watched Owlwhisper. One day, she would be doing this.

Blackthorn looked surprised by his new leaders choice but stood and padded forward, dipping his head in respect. "I am honored to be chosen and will help rebuild the clan to the greatness we once had, in honor of those we lost" he meowed
