Feel free to start conversations and talk amongst yourselves about whatever you'd like. Please just keep it appropriate, no fighting, and no promoting of any kind. Any form of promotion will be deleted.

Chat away, my friends!

How is everyone? Anything interesting going on in your life? Read any good books lately? Write any good books lately?

I myself am getting ready for the summer and not looking forward to working the World Cup. 7 matches likely in the scorching heat for 8 hours a day, ugh. Not looking forward to it but I am looking forward to doing things this summer like going places and enjoying the reasonable weather.

I recently read The Picture of Dorian Gray and yeah...it's an interesting read. At least I can say I read it. Finally, I just published my 14th novel which I am now going to spend my times into the summer promoting.

So, just like AD(H)D, coffee can help anxiety... I knew it! This is the first time I've seen scientific evidence for this, however. Awesome.

During college one of my friends was sleepy all the time. She ate well, exercised, classes were not overloaded. At first doctors could find nothing wrong eith her... they finally determined it was the 4 liters of diet coke she was drinking. Apparently excess caffeine can make you so chill you feel exhausted! She cut down caffeine and got her energy back. I still don't get drinking a coke product when you can get great coffee, but to each their own.

I drink as much coffee as I can but stop by noon. I usually don't have more than 4 big cups. Stress on the BIG. But I will be telling my doctor about this study!

First congratulations on book 14! I have The Portrait of Dorian Gray on my reading list for this month. It's a group read with another group and I figured why not I can finally say I read the book.

As for the World Cup, where are you working at? Logistically I think there will be problems. I feel bad for people coming to the US and having to use such poor transportation infrastructure and unfriendly pedestrian cities in terms of getting to venues. I just hope it's a great experience because I know people who have been waiting since the announcements to go this year and like me they live in Delaware so it's not far but even knowing the region it will be crazy travel wise.

Hi Beth, thank you kindly! I've been slowly promoting it but hoping to build up more focus on it. Yeah, so its a good book but it's brutal in terms of the old English language they use. Some descriptions run on for over a page and a half and at several points I forgot what was being talked about! lol. But at least after you read it you can say to people that you did.

I assume you went to my profile because I didn't post about the World Cup in this group but I did in the other group I'm a mod for. I'm working at Gillette Stadium or as FIFA has it for the time being, Foxboro Stadium(dumb licensing thing). Yeah, the exhibition game back in April was a mess so I can only imagine how much of a disaster this was. There were people using people's backyards to go to the bathroom! Crazy. I guess we'll see.

Thank you for commenting. I'm really hoping to get this group and the other one I just become mod for back to decent activity.

Look above at post #2 I'm getting myself ready....... World Cup.... but now I will stalk your profile!

I used to live in New Orleans and between Mardi Gras and the Jazz Festival alone I have horror stories and that's just two annual events in a city designed for visitors. I think were you are will turn out much better than NYC/NJ and Philly.

What other group are you a mod for? I have a few of my groups that have shut down over the last year and a few that have lost mods.
