Quasimodo.Here's one of my Horror-ku:
Forbidden nectar,
Strength and ecstasy flowing,
Crimson Temptation.
My best guess on Ian's last haiku is a vampire story, but I couldn't tell you which one.Bloofer lady prowls.
Moonlight reveals blood stained hearts.
Hammer strikes - Free!
Lucy Westenra from Dracula!I wrote it as a generic vampire haiku about 11 years ago.
There are a few I wrote then. I'll write some new ones for this game, but in the meantime, Here's the rest:
Patwork body parts,
Man of science playing God,
Who is the monster?
Decaying wrappings,
Rigor of millennia,
Curse of the Mummy.
Freedom of running,
Driven by the scent of prey,
The call of the Moon.
Instinctive Hunger,
Walking and moaning for flesh,
Animated corpse.
He hides in plain sight,
Unseen even by himself,
He does what he wills.
Haiku from which story?His eye haunts my dreams;
Chop! He's all gone, but his heart
beats seeking revenge.

I like your last line very much. It sums up the book in just four short words
Scout wrote: "Annerlee, is it Ahab chasing the White Whale?"It is indeed. My first haiku attempt was unexpectedly fun.
Scout wrote: "She's dressed for the promThinking she's been accepted,
Then buckets of blood."
Ah must be Carrie.
Kelly wrote: "(5, 7, 5 form)I'm such a big beast
This is the way he made me
But I have feelings"
Frankenstein's monster

You are correct!
J. wrote: "(5,7,5)First, my grandfather
Then, he came for my mother
Can father save her?"
We haven't solved this one yet?
Annerlee wrote: "J. wrote: "(5,7,5)First, my grandfather

Can father save her?"

Not yet.
Message 30 is the same novel.

Haiku's are simple poems based on three statements with a specific number of syllables.
For example, the 3, 5, 3 syllable form is a common form.
I.e. Blood runs sweet (3), a fatal moon rises (5), fangs bite deep (3).
Or alternatively, you can go shorter to a 1,2,1 form.
Smack (1), hearts blood (2), staked (1).
or a longer form if you really want to get loquacious.
The point of a haiku is to present a vivid (impactful, moving) picture with an elegant and precise economy of words - like a skilled Samurai cutting down an opponent with a single well-placed stroke of their sword.
For added fun, guess the setting and character of the previous haiku before adding your own.
I'll start below.
