Nathan LaFever | 1 comments I don’t read very often, however, I was captivated by this book after watching the movie American Sniper. The triumphs of Chris Kyle that I saw in the movie captured my attention into picking up this book. This book was written by Chris Kyle who was a Navy Seal that went on four deployments to Iraq and has the most confirmed kills in American history as a sniper. This book started off talking about his childhood, then what lead him to serve his country. It talks about personal, specific events that only Chris Kyle would know and what he was thinking in those situations which is what makes this book so interesting. There was a great deal of action and commentary throughout this book which made it hard to put down. The writing in this book is not very sophisticated in terms of style. Despite that I found it very interesting because you get to see the insight into the deadliest sniper in American history and get to see what it was like fighting in Iraq. Chris Kyle gave great detail of his upbringing, such as his religious beliefs and lessons he was taught as a kid that stuck with him. Overall I would give this book a three out of five because I thought that the content was great but it really lacked from a writer's point of viewAmerican Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History
