I really didn't know much about the Dover Demon till I read a fiction book by author Hunter Shea. So I googled it and there is lots of stuff about it.

Ian (RebelGeek) Seal (rebel-geek) | 409 comments If you like vampire lore, Jonathan Maberry's V-Wars is about a virus that causes some people to turn into vampires, but they're different depending on their ancestry & the specific vampire legends of that culture, JM is basically a supernatural lore scholar, so it's really fascinating. He collaborated with other authors, so each volume of V-Wars is an anthology in a shared story.

I have heard of this lore and one of my horror authors that I follow wrote a fiction book about it too. But I didn't realize that it was considered New Jersey's official state monster! That is an eye opener! Wow! Thank you for the links, Papa! That made for some very interesting reading! :)

It is a tourist thing no doubt. But it is kind of cool we have an official state monster.
