Silver walked around the surrounding woods of the local town, looking around. His golden eyes twinkled, and he came to an abrupt halt, changing direction and then walking to the nearest tree. He settled down on it, sitting at its roots.

Shadow skated through the woods, content, and cruising. He was observing the high trees and filtering light from the gaps in the leaves when he just barely caught the contrasting, bright white. He slowed down and got a better look. By the teal, neon blue accompanying it and the shape against the tree, he could tell it was Silver. He circled around and stopped just before coming beside him quietly.

Silver’s eyes flickered over to where Shadow had skated over. He almost jumped from his sudden appearance but remained calm and somewhat-mature.
“Oh, hello Shadow. What are you doing out here this fine . . . “ Silver dragged off and looked at the sky. “Evening.” He finished.

"Evening, Silver. You have a reason for coming out here?" He asked, the question genuine as he glanced at him respectively. He leaned on the tree, crossing his arms.

“Well, I decided to take a walk and rest for a little while. How about you?” Silver replied, sitting up a bit as he looked up at Shadow.

Shadow slowly looked at him longer before turning back to the woods. "Just a little run. It was nice today." He was going to leave it like that, but that's not what brought him here."And Tails is doing a maintenance run on Omega."

“Hmm,” Silver hummed. “Yes, it is quite nice out today. Why is he doing a maintencance run on Omega?”

"Our last mission left him bent out of shape." Shadow explained. "Tails is going to attempt fixing him."

Dune brushed some leaves out of her way. "Are you still there? It's hard to see."

"Yep. He should be here somewhere. He likes his solitude." Rouge followed behind Dune glancing around for the tell tale black fur.

Dune looked around, not seeing anything. "Are you sure..." She spots some movement.

Shadow had heard Rouge and Dune. He had bid Silver a small goodbye before hunting down the familiar sent of his partner. He walked up behind them. "Bat."

Rouge turned around and grinned. "Shadow. There you are. I knew you'd be out here."

Shadow glanced at Rouge's companion. "This is?.."

"Dune. Sand cat." She glanced at him before turning back to Rouge. "Is he always this grumpy?"

Shadow tensed slightly but stayed quiet and raised a brow at Rouge. Rouge chuckled. "He's a special breed of hedgehog." She commented to Dune.
"Shadow-"

"Nice to meet you, Dune. Shadow." He nodded to Dune in greeting.

"Sorry. Nice to meet you too," Dune says, feeling a bit bad for making fun of him before even meeting him.

Shadow glanced at Rouge. "What did you want?"

"Well, I wanted to introduce you to Dune. Plus she wanted to meet the crew."

"In other words, an excuse to see Omega. " He smirked slightly. Rouge shook her head and looked at Dune rolling her eyes.

"This guy, I tell ya."

((Me pretending I know what Omega is cause I never watched the show:
Me: Oh... Um... Let me guess, Omega's a hedgehog?))
Dune sighed. "So, is this the entire team?"

((Omega is a Robot. It's all good. I'm guessing you played the games?? XD))

Shadow shook his head slightly. "We have Omega and-"
Rouge smirked. "Oh, and?"
Shadow growled. "AND Midnight."
Rouge chuckled. "But yes, this is mostly the team."

((NOOOO I'm really reclusive and I practically live under a rock :( The only thing I know about Sonic is the stuff from the new movie))
"Cool. Is there somewhere that we meet?" Dune asked. This was the most exciting thing that had happened to her in a while.

(( Ohhhh it's all good. That movie gives you enough knowledge.))

Rouge clapped her hands. "Yes! Where Omega is: Tails's Lab."
Shadow looked less than excited but nodded in the slightest.

((Yes sorry :( I haven't watched Sonic 2 yet though))
"Should we go there to see if they're all okay with me joining? I might bog you guys down. I have a pretty useless power." Dune stared at the ground, then swung her gaze back at the pair.

Shadow glanced at Rouge and she smiled at them both. "Sweetie, power doesn't matter. The fact your heart is in the right place is what matters. They are nice and friendly, and not grumpy like this guy." She hitched her thumb at an eye-rolling Shadow.

"Thanks, Rouge. That's nice of you to say." Dune smiles back at her.

She grinned at Dune and nudged Shadow. "You meet us there? Or walk with us?"
Shadow thought for a second. "I guess I'll walk with you."

"Huh? Sorry, is that your power?" Dune asked.

Shadow blinked. "My power is chaos-oriented. I could easily chaos control to Fox's lab, but I'd rather walk for now."
It was Rouge's turn to roll her eyes. "Well, how convenient."

"Oh, sorry. I'm new to this stuff. I have a pretty lame power. Your's is cool, though." Dune walked beside them.

Shadow looked at her. "What is yours then?"
Rouge walked between Shadow and Dune.

"I change the color of things. I changed Rouge's uniform from pink to purple." Dune blushed, hoping that she could still get on the team.

Shadow glanced at Rouge's outfit and couldn't help a small smile. Rouge flicked her ears and smirked. "That could be helpful for covert ops missions, helping with camouflage to sneak around."

"That's true. I can't turn things fully invisible, though." Dune smiles at Rouge and her newly colored outfit.
((Sorry, I had to go somewhere))

Shadow blinked and nodded, impressed marginally. "Interesting"
"That's his way of being impressed, Dune." She smiled at her.

"Oh. It's an interesting way of showing that, Rouge," Dune said, smirking. She said interesting in the same tone of voice as Shadow.

Shadow glanced at Dune with a bland look and continued walking.
Rouge burst out laughing. "Oh, isn't she great, Shadow? She beat you at your own game."
Shadow glared at Rouge. "Bat"

"Hedgehog," Dune said back. She turned to smile at Rouge.

((I have a lesson soon, see ya))

Shadow blinked and scoffed. Rouge laughed. "This is great "

"I can't wait to join," Dune said, still smiling. This was pretty much the happiest day of her life.

"That's good! We need more help anyways." Rouge encouraged.
Shadow kept quiet and led them out of the woods to the street, heading to the house district.

Rouge grinned. "Great, now. Our first mission is to have Grumpy smile.

"That's gonna be hard," Dune said, smirking.
