"Lunch at the Gotham Cafe" is one of my favorite stories of all time, and it's even better when Stephen King reads on audio.
Hello! I can't wait to join in! I have owned this book in hardcover for awhile but never got around to reading it. I love some of King's other short stories. Angie wrote: "Discuss Everything's Eventual here. Please mark all spoilers for those reading along."
Just realized that I actually never bought this one. So I ordered my copy today and will be joining in the discussion. I'm not that much into short stories, but I found a few interesting titles in the list and think this will be fun to read.
@Rev: That's awesome! Same here, Night Shift has been my favorite so far and I've yet to read this one :-)
LTJ,Oh, yes. Those stories live on, don't they? Have you read any of the stories in Full Dark, No Stars?

I had been taking a King break but I think I’ll join in for this one. Wrapping up something else then will start this one soon.
@Rev: Indeed they do, my new friend! I also own Full Dark, No Stars but have yet to read it. Night Shift was the last anthology of short stories by King I read, I bet it's also amazing, eh?
As a resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, it always gives me a small thrill when we're mentioned, or even just Nebraska in general. Which he seems to do often! We so rarely get recognized. :)
I just finished the book! A couple of my favs - the man in the black suit(king is the best at writing stories with children in them), the road virus heads north (creepy) and lunch at the Gotham Café( just plain scary) existed to see what everyone else thinks 😊
I'm done with the first four stories. I read one per day as maximum because I usually need some time for the story to work in my mind. My first impression is that this collection is remarkable because every story is totally different. Which makes it even more important to take a break in between.
I’ve been listening to this for the last 2 days and I’m enjoying it so much! I’m on 1408? 1403? I’m listening to the audiobook. SK read LT’s theory of pets before a live audience. He is so freakin funny! Autopsy in Room 4 is absolutely terrifying.
I just read the theory of pets, but it wasn't funny at all. It may be different when being read aloud in a funny way. I'm curious about Room 1408. I saw the movie and loved it.
Up until now my fave stories are: little sisters, everything's eventual, all that you love will be carried away.
Hello to all of my fellow King readers,I have completed my monthly reading of Uncle Stevie's "Everything's Eventual" novella and short story collection. My review is located on the following link:

Have a great month of discussion and reading. Also, may spring get moving towards summer weather.
Best wishes,
Scott.
The ending wasn’t funny. Maybe it was just the way he read it. I haven’t seen 1408. I like the story though!
Yeah, I think some stories must be read aloud.I just finished the road virus. That one was scary as hell - loved it.
I read Everything's Eventual many years ago and while at the time I'm reading anything by Stephen King I enjoy it -- to judge the best of Everything's Eventual I have to go by the story that stuck with me and I never forgot and that is Autopsy Room Four.
Finished the book today. My fave stories were:All That You Love Will Be Carried Away
The Little Sisters of Eluria
Everything's Eventual
The Road Virus Heads North
Riding the Bullet
How is everyone elso coming along?
I finished as well. I really enjoyed it. I really liked 1403. But I don’t think there was a bad story in the bunch.
I'm only halfway through. Havent had much time to read this month. I had read Little Sisters of Eluria before on it's own when I read my way to the Dark Tower a few years back, but it was good to revisit it.Autopsy Room 4 and Everything's Eventual have been my favorites so far.

Wow, i just did a Quick random Google search on the analyze of TMITBS. Incredible how much stuff One can Read into every single action and item 😮 Beats me. I mainly Read it as a story of fiction with a touch of spice. Life gives, and life takes and we can not do so much about the ultimate course of life. How did you Read n interpret the story?
About to start this one today and hopefully finish it by the end of the week or weekend at the latest, I'm excited :-D

LoL I'm very behind on this but so far am loving it! A little over 40% done and shooting to finish it by Friday night. So far I loved The Man in the Black Suit, In The Deathroom, and The Little Sister of Eluria :-)
Finally finished. Was ok. Didn’t love it. None of the stories ended well in my view. Maybe 1408, which I thought was the best of the bunch. Road Virus was good too. Riding the bullet had potential but got too sappy for me in the end. I may be on a King burnout.
