Have you read this book? What are your thoughts on it?

I thought it was a sweet and fluffy contemporary. It has some similarities to Princess Diaries except that Izumi is much more likeable than Mia in those books. I enjoyed exploring the city of Tokyo through a foreigner's POV and the dynamics of the royal family. I do think the romance could be tweaked a little, but it was still cute.

I know there's a sequel that's coming out soon (can't wait!) but I'd also like a novella about Izumi's parents and how they met. Their story was my favourite part of the book and (view spoiler)[they get married in book 2! Yay! (hide spoiler)]

I was thinking of reading this..what do you guys think? Should I read it? Is it good? I’m trying to find a quick summer read to bring with me on vacation

It's a feel-good read and I recommend it. Also it does have holiday vibes as the MC goes to Tokyo on vacation.
