Play Book Tag discussion

The summer of 1973 Devin Jones is nursing a broken heart. He answers an ad from an amusement park, Joyland, in North Carolina. In North Carolina Devin meets all the characters and carnies that work there. He also learns of a murder that happened in 1969 that has never been solved. Devin and two college friends decide they are going to solve the crime. What follows is part ghost story, part crime story and part tale of growing up. This isn't your usual King book. It's not super scary, but is suspenseful and quick moving. A nice change of pace well worth reading.
