I'm trying to get a hold of this from my library, but it looks like it’s lost

That’s what I’m trying to do. It says they have one copy, but when I click my HOLD it says I am number 1 on zero digital cooues

Ah, okay. Sometimes what a library does is create what we call "zombie loans." So you've got a book on Overdrive, its license expired, but you leave the listing there and then, on a weekly or monthly basis, you re-lease any titles that have been put on hold, and the patron will be able to check it out.

It's possible this is how your library is doing it, and you can always contact them and ask if this is the case!
