30.8 - Tien’s Task: Drinks to keep you Warm
It’s Winter in Australia so we turn to drinks that’ll keep us warm. And because I’m a greedy gut, I love to drink both tea AND coffee AND everything else too! I do have my favourite brands though…

This is a 2 book task. The combined page total of the two books must be at least 600 pages. Choose two different options. All genres may be standalone or embedded.
REQUIRED: State in your post the options you used.

1. Tea
I have a new favourite tea shop: The Berry Tea Shop
For this option, read a book with a MPG Classics AND where first letter of each word in title (of at least 3 words) can be found in “The Berry Tea Shop”. Letters can be used only as often as they appear in the target name.

2. Coffee
Our preferred coffee beans are from: Killer Coffee Co
For this option, read a book with a MPG Crime AND “kill” found intact in title and/or subtitle.

3. Hot Chocolate
My favourite hot chocolate powder cannot be found in our local supermarket so I have to go especially to another shop to buy: Nestle Complete Mix Hot Chocolate
For this option, read a book with a MPG Romance AND where all author’s initials appear in “Nestle Complete Mix Hot Chocolate”

4. Alcohol
I enjoy both red & white wine and a bit of g&t now and again. There are sooo many to choose from but for this time, I chose: Little Giant Malbec.

For this option, read a book with a MPG Speculative Fiction AND where cover prominently features an animal*. Even if the cover animal is a shifter, the animal shown on the cover must be completely animal without any human parts showing.

*birds, insects, reptiles, etc. and mythological creatures are ok.

Examples: Authority by Jeff VanderMeer The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories by Ken Liu Hummingbird Salamander by Jeff VanderMeer

REQUIRED: Include the cover in your post.

These creatures aren't exactly mythological. They are aliens that rhe main character of the book dreamed into existence. Would this work?

Is this ok for the animal cover?
Spec Fiction is a MPG, so that's covered, but it's last on the list so maybe lock that in as well if the cover is ok?

Thanks!

hey BC, I can confirm romance MPG but option #3 also requires that all author’s initials appear in “Nestle Complete Mix Hot Chocolate” and author's initials for this book does not (IF).

Yeah ... I misread that, thinking that all the initial letters of the title had to be in the phrase. I can use it elsewhere.

I have many books with MPG of fantasy, sci-fi, magical realism, paranormal but this is absolutely the only one that has Speculative Fiction as MPG, so I hope it works!
