Uh, there's not a lot of book-ish topics here. So I would recommend doing more book-related events, to get people more active?
Before, the group was mostly about books so both adults and teens were both active. Now it's just games, and not really about books anymore so a lot of the members have no interest in commenting.
Aurora wrote: "I get that. Really good idea, K! :D I added three new ones, and I'll get a lot more up by tonight since the three-topics-an-hour thing."Okay, thanks!
Hi, MoDs. How do you guys feel about taking in some other mods? Right now, we're biased; we're making our friends moderators. Some members here may know more from this group and has more experience so they can help bringing the group more active. What do you think?
Just help add more topics, events, activities; make the group fun and organized! Try to add more people, get the group active, stop trouble when there is, and etc.
Hey Mods! It seems like people are posting more topics here frequently, but although we'd like that as more ideas for the group, it's getting things…clogged. I really don't want to lock the topic-creating option for members. I don't think the thread rule is working, if there is such a rule after all. Any ideas?
I reread the rules, and yes, there is one, like I recalled. Ask before making! You have to read the rules or I'll unmod you, Raini. /jk But that means that some members have NOT been reading the rules. Do you want to make a PM/group notice about that, Raini? You haven't made any broadcasts yet.
Not to be a party pooper. -- I honestly, think we should just lock the ability for members to make new boards. We can keep up a recommended posts board to continue the encouragement of creativity. However, it's quickly getting cluttered, and a lot of us even as mods, are confused on rules and regulations. ~ All this to say let's clarify rules and regulations in one big post, and let's lock the ability (temporarily) for members to make new boards until this is fully clear.

on my alt but anywayRaini, where does it say that? If you go into group settings and look at the rules, one of the top 4 or 5 says that you cannot make topics without asking.
Okay, I may have skipped over that part. But the topics are getting clogged and some…inappropriate things alongside it? Maybe we should change that rule.
I had a bit of free time, so I thought I'd rough-draft the new rules list. Totally cool to veto this btw. ^^ Just thought I'd offer help since I know we can all get busy sometimes & to start the conversation. ^^
Easy, just read what's below and follow them. Nothing too complex, so these should be easy to follow.1. Be nice, calm, & respectful.
2. Think twice before you send a message. This group does not tolerate arguing and disrespect. We want our forum to be a place of safety and healthy discourse. You will receive three warnings via DM, and if you fail to follow the rules after these three warnings you will be kicked.
3. Do not post anything unless you ask first! The only exception to this rule is if you are a moderator. Every folder has a channel for requests, please use it.
4. Avoid subjects that are triggering to others. If they do come up, place them in spoilers and give a clear warning.
5. Hide swearing under spoilers. We have some people who are triggered by cursing, so please hide it in a spoiler.
6. Do not beg to be a moderator. At this moment, all moderator roles are filled, and we will inform you in the future when such a position becomes available.
7. If you feel unsafe in the group, contact a MOD immediately explaining the situation. Our job is to keep the group safe and fun.
8. As always, we saved the best for last. . . stay chill! Most people say, ‘have fun,’ but we always have fun right? So just chill and be calm and have a wonderful time. But really, have fun as well. No point in being in a group you’re miserable in eh?
Also, here's something that might make our Reading Challenges different from other, spice things up, and encourage others to read more:(view spoiler)
I’ll totally add that spoiler rule! ~ Also Ke, can you send DM me your suggestion ^^ Unfortunately my phone blocks spoilers & my computer is under repair after I played too much Guild Wars 2 😭

Scams aren’t allowed and will be deleted upon discovery (Scams will also constitute as 2 strikes rather than 1 due to the danger it poses to other members).

Final reminder: This group runs on the three strikes you’re out method. You will receive warnings with the first two strikes & kicked out after the third. However, mods have the right to kick out members if a member is endangering or severely harming other members.
How does this look? ^^

Beautiful! Hopefully it does, however, fit the character limit though…
Friendly reminder to the permanent MODs! Week 2 of the Scholarly Reading challenge is when we can begin participating & try to beat out the members from winning! ^^ Good luck & happy reading!Temp MODs you can play as members and begin this week if you so desire, since your time as MODs will end before the end of the challenge. <3
Janssen wrote: "How long will I be a mod for? I like being a mod but it has been my three days by now"Hi Janssen,
Thanks for being a temp mod for three days! Sorry we were a bit slow to removing you from the MOD position (there was a bit of a mix up on our end in regards to who monitored the temp MODs time). Hope you compete in future events to reclaim your title, and know we appreciated your time as a MOD.
Hey mods! You can officially participate in the Scholarly Reading Challenge! :) Make sure you post your book reads under -Scholarly Reading Challenge: Teachers- :)
lunar}{kris wrote: "Oo can’t wait for my chromebook so I can be back again!"Fingers crossed it gets fixed soon!
We haven’t. I’m doing really well thanks for asking ^^ Hope to get to know you more now that you’re back!
I'm getting to know everyone digitally, so I don't know anyone outside of goodreads. I know Kun the most thus far.
