mishall ✧ (incandescentglow) time to get controversial 😏
(in a respectful way of course!)

what are some popular queer books you didn't like? and why?

loaf (harrythereader) | 1 comments this is probably very unpopular but i hate red white and royal blue and i have a review on it that explains why

lee ⚢ personally, i think the seven husbands of evelyn hugo is way too overrated. cecilia and evelyns love story was insanely beautiful, my heart still hurts but all in all its not as great as ppl make it seem. it had sm more potential imo

i haven't read rwrb, but thank you for sharing!
after reading your review (which was amazing btw), i'm a bit nervous to read the book bc it seems that there are quite a few things in it that i personally don't like in books.

ahh personally, i love the seven husbands of evelyn hugo, but i can definitely get where you are coming from. i found the execution of the book to be incredible, and i'm sorry you didn't enjoy it as much :(

daniel (dbakes) | 2 comments idk how popular it is but i’ll say it anyway: i HATE ‘they both die at the end’. the ending esp was really bad, and was just cheap and disappointing. it could’ve ended at the scene in their apartment and it would’ve been good. but no, instead adam silvera wasted a few more trees writing a completely unnecessary few events that didn’t need to happen. sorry, this is unnecessarily passionate but it drives me crazy 😂

kat | 3 comments i did not like ‘they both die at the end’ the love aspect of it felt very forced and the story itself wasnt even good. the concept was cool but execution wise was very boring

the passion is seeping through this, and i love it 😭
i read 'they both die at the end' a whilee ago, and i remember sort of liking it, but i do kind of agree with you.

yes i agree! even though 2-year-ago me claims to have enjoyed it, every day i'm questioning it a little bit more. the concept was veryy cool, and it could've been executed really well, but it didn't.

we know nothing about death-cast either, and i would have loved to dive deeper into it :(

no u (no_u14) | 5 comments carry on trilogy, especially the second and third books. I wrote a whole review for awtwb about how much they bother me

I agree. I only read the first book but I didn't like it either.
