Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments Oh! cool :D So any plot in mind?

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Not many to be honest! Just looking for one that stays interesting!

I'm up for something enemies to lovers (kingxprincess or more contemporary), just a sweet romance, whatever. Not sure really.

Fair warning: I do like romance but I won't do explicit stuff :)

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Do you have any plot ideas?

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments Hmmm I like the idea of enemies to lovers ! Could we do a more modern time period though?

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Sure! Of course we can.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Although would a modern king X princess arranged marriage interest you or not? I don't care if we do something different, but that's the only idea I have right now 😅

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

What kind of enemies to lovers idea might you have? I'd love to hear it.

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments It does sound interesting the king and princess thing xD I don't have any real ideas at the moment to be honest, we might just have to go with that one haha

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

You wanna try that one then? XD

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments Sure, lets give it a shot :D xD

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Awesome! Characters? I was thinking early 20s?

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

And maybe it was an arranged marriage and they didn't see each other before the actual marriage day?

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments That all sounds fine! Im sort of off and on sporadically today though so it might take me a bit to come up with a character ^^;

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Same! I'm at work. But I'll try getting a character up tonight if I am not too tired.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

How detailed do you like characters?

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments I prefer them to be fairly detailed haha

James can be analytical, observant, helpful, reliable, and precise, but he can also be skeptical, fussy, inflexible, cold, and Interfering. While he can be very uplifting and outgoing, the times when he receeds within himself is when he becomes the most analytical. He’s not really one for small talk, and everything is always straightforward and to the point. If he becomes uncomfortable he will immediately shut everyone out. Should we start the day of the marriage?

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments Hmmmm sure! Did you want to start?

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

The day had approached, the day when Josephine was marrying the king, James. She didn't even really know him aside from what she'd learned. Never once had they met in person. It was a dreadful day to her because Jo didn't want to marry and she wasn't sure she could ever love someone the way everyone expected her to.

Her maids helped her make sure her hair was in place and her dress was flowing the right way. It was a beautiful dress and it suited her well. It brushed down against her hips perfectly and accentuated her slender build. Her dark curly hair was mostly tamed with pins and jewels but still tumbled down her back.

"It's now or never," Jo said with a heavy sigh to the mirror. Everyone was waiting for her. The huge crowd out there was going to watch her give her life away to a man she cared nothing for. If anything, he didn't seem like a nice person.

"You'll be alright. You'll do great, Princess," one of the maids said softly, dropping into a low curtsey. "Your father is waiting." She urged her on, and Jo stepped out to meet her father so he could take her to the king. Like a sacrifice, she thought glumly.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

((Okay, no problem. I understand.))

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments It was finally the day James had been partially dreading. The day he would marry Josephine Thornbury. He had to admit to himself, she seemed like a lovely princess, however he had almost no real feelings towards her, negative or positive. He wasn't so sure any of this was a good idea at all, but he was being pressured by his family, who encouraged him into doing it. The marriage had been arranged in part because of wealth, and in part to improve social status and build a bond between two different families. James didn't care much for either, though he could see how the union could be beneficial for both parties envolved.

James stood in front of the mirror, his brother, Dustin, stood next to him, giving him a hand with his tie. James was never one to dress in all kinds of fancy clothing, despite being a King. He never saw the appeal of it. Dustin sighed, shaking his head, and throwing James a chastising look. "Honestly, it wouldn't hurt to start learning to do this yourself, James," he told his brother critically as he finishing tying the tie. James sucked in a deep breath, returning Dustin's annoyed look. "When am I ever going to find such asinine skills useful, dear brother?" He asked him, smirking slightly.

"You mean besides today? Trust me, you'll find something to make use of them," Dustin responded, shaking his head. James laughed at that. "Whatever you say, oh wise one." He looked at himself in the mirror as Dustin moved away from him to put on his own dress coat. James adjusted the tie a bit. It was a deep red, to go along with his black and white tuxedo. Dustin appeared by his side again with a red rose to go along with James' tuxedo, and deposited the flower in his chest pocket.

"There. Now you look halfway decent," Dustin told him, flashing an amused grin. James rolled his eyes. "Such a comedian," he responded, punching Dustin's shoulder playfully. Dustin laughed, and turned away. "Come on, we best not keep your audience waiting," he called as he disappeared out the door of the dressing room. James sighed, and followed him out, and down the hallway towards where the ceremony would take place. Soon, James was stood at the altar, joined by Dustin, his other younger brother, Kyle, and his mother, who sat in the front row.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Josephine waited for her turn to walk the aisle and be left at the front with that man. It was going to be such a change to her world.
"Alright, my daughter," Gabriel said softly to her. He was proud of his daughter even if he understood it was not something she wanted. But life had lots of things you didn't like and you just had to roll with it. He took her arm and the two of them began walking out into the aisle between the huge crowds.

The instant they did, a roar of applause burst out just like it had for their king. For the most part, Jo was used to attention but this was different. If the king was pleased with her, he might make her his queen in the future. With every step, Jo's heart pounded. There he was, standing and waiting for her. She wondered faintly if he was hating this as much as she was.

Finally, Gabriel left her at the altar beside King James and headed to his seat in the other front row seats. Jo curtsied to her king once, offered him a nervous smile, and straightened. The priest turned and began his long speech.

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments James stood patiently at the altar, looking out over the crowd that had gathered to see the wedding. He personally thought it was all going to be rather long and boring, but he supposed that couldn't really be helped. Soon enough, Josephine appeared at the end of the walkway, and the applause broke out. James blinked and set his eyes upon her, feeling impressed by her beauty. He watched as she approached the altar with her father, and he managed a gentle smile.

James turned towards the priest as Josephine stopped next to him, and he prepared himself to stand through the long drawn out speech. As the priest spoke, he glanced over at Josephine, studying her face. She didn't seem at all pleased to be here, not unlike him, of course. Besides that, he was able to appreciate the soft features of her face. She was rather pretty, actually, now that he thought about it. Perhaps that thought would make all this easier.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Jo felt a tiny spring of hope flutter in her chest when he faintly returned her smile. Maybe he was just feeling the same way she was; wishing he could be as far from this altar as possible. She didn't want to marry and he didn't seem thrilled either. She glanced at him while the priest droned on. She too thought he wasn't terrible looking. In fact, maybe he was a little good looking but she didn't want to admit that too much. He had a rugged look to his face, but one that they'd attempted to tame enough for the wedding. Jo just wished she'd been given the decision to say yes or no.

Finally, the priest stopped after what felt like an eternity. He turned to the two and told them to begin their vows towards each other.

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments James didn't move his gaze from Josephine as the priest finally finished up, and then told them to speak their vows. He cleared his throat, swallowing back an awkward feeling in the back of his throat as he prepared to speak. He reached out and took her hands in his, squeezing gently, as if to try and comfort her. He smiled slightly, and drew in a deep breath. "My dear Josephine... I vow to always be faithful, courageous, and strong for you. I vow to always provide a safe place for you to be, and I vow to always respect, and care for you."

"I vow to do allow you to have a voice, and to respect the voice you have...I will always do my best to keep you happy, and I hope that, with time, our love can blossom," he told her earnestly, his twinkling eyes never leaving hers. As he finished, he squeezed her hands gently once more, as if to give her encouragement as she told her own vows.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Jo's hands grew sweaty in his and it made her feel flustered, like he would think she was disgusting or something. But his words were gentle and sweet and she hoped with all her heart that he meant them. When it was her turn, her mind started blanking on the vows she had memorized. There were a few seconds of pause before she began.

"My dear King James," she started, swallowing and keeping her eyes on his amber ones. "I vow to always be faithful to you as my only husband and my king. I vow to love and cherish you in all that I do, and I vow to listen and obey you. I will do everything in my strength to be the kind of wife you want and need." She paused a second time as if she wasn't used to standing in front of a huge crowd.

"I will do my best to take care of you, and I hope that our love will grow strong and solid as the years go by. And that someday if it is fitting in your eyes, I will do my best to stand by your side as your queen." She gripped his hands and finished, hearing her heart pounding in her chest.

The priest said something she didn't quite catch and handed each of them each other's rings. Jo took the one gently in her palm and when it was her turn, slid it onto the ring finger of King James' left hand. The crowd cheered, the priest announced that King James could now kiss his bride, and the crowd erupted in louder roars.

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments James kept a small, comforting smile on his lips as Josephine spoke her vows, his eyes sparkling with a mixture of warmth, and calm. Her vows were just about as he had been hoping they would be, and he felt content in them. He smiled a little more as she finished, and he nodded a little. When the priest handed them the rings, he slid hers onto her finger easily, and waited as she placed his on his finger. When that was all done, the audience burst out into applause and cheering. James swallowed a little as the priest announced they could kiss.

James hesitated just a short moment, before he released one of her hands, and moved his hand up to cup her face, his fingers laced around her ear. He tugged her gently towards him, and leaned down a bit, his eyes fluttering shut as he placed a soft kiss upon her lips. James was a little surprised at how soft her lips were, and he found himself deepening the kiss slightly, his other hand moving around her body and resting on the small of her back.

After a moment, he finally pulled away a bit, releasing a shaky breath. James blinked his eyes open to gaze into hers as the crowd cheered loudly, whistling and whooping. He smiled bashfully, and released her face from his hand, turning to the crowd now, though his other hand remained on the small of her back. After a moment, James started to lead her down the steps of the altar, and along the aisle she had just walked down, towards a separate room where the reception would be held. He entered the hall, followed by his two brothers and their dates, and his mother, as well as the rest of the congregation. They arrived in the reception hall were the cake was sitting, waiting to be cut.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Josephine allowed him to pull her close and press his lips against hers. She had been nervous to kiss him but you had to do what you had to do. It was all part of the show to her. When they pulled apart from the kiss, she smiled shyly at him before turning to walk through the cheering crowds together.

The reception hall was quickly growing packed. Guards were everywhere to protect the royal family and especially the king and his new wife. They were dressed nicely, though, and stood well at attention. Josephine's hand was on her husband's arm as they walked. Within minutes of entering the hall, people seemed to swarm them with congratulations and good wishes for their new journey in life together. Even though they had the opportunity to listen to more modern versions of music through huge speakers, they had a live band performing at the end of the hall which felt much more formal.

"Shall we dance, or cut cake, my king?" Jo asked her husband, wondering what he wanted to do. She'd do anything within reason.

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments James paused near the cake now, glancing back at the crowd as it poured into the hall. He grinned, and nodded at a few people who came up to congratulate them, shaking a few hands here and there. His brothers appeared next to him, giving congratulations as well. Then, his mother was in front of him too, patting his shoulder softly, her teary eyes full of happiness. James gave her an amused look, shaking his head a bit. He kept his arm resting along Josephine's back, and turned to her as she asked him that question.

"Well, I suppose we could cut the cake first, and dance after that," he answered simply, giving her a small smirk. He turned to the cake then, and picked up the knife that was laying nearby. James offered Josephine the knife first, giving her an inquisitive look. "Would you like to do the honors?" he asked her, smiling a little more.

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

While she knew it was possible that James was just playacting, Josephine did wonder if he was dreading this whole situation as much as she did. Of course, there was no going back, and she was officially his now, but she still disliked the ideas of going through all the motions in front of everyone. But. She was a princess and she had no choice. Royalty didn't give you many options for doing what you wanted.

Josephine took the knife in her hand, glancing up at him with a vague smirk of her own. "You want me to just go ahead and cut it or are we supposed to be doing this together?" she raised a perfect eyebrow, waiting for him. Finally, in one smooth motion, the cake was cut and the gathering crowd grew excited. "Do not smash cake all over my face," she hissed to the king, giving him a look that told him to even dare it. She did not want that and would be furious if he did.

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments James blinked, and smiled, giving a small shrug. "I suppose we should do it together," he told her, and they both took hold of the knife. They cut into the cake, slicing the first piece, and he looked at Josephine when she said that, giving her an innocent stare. "I wouldn't dream of it," he laughed, his eyes sparkling with amusement. They cut a few more pieces so other could enjoy the cake as well, and some people gathered to take some of the cake. Once that was done, he led her over to their table with some of the cake for them to enjoy before they did their dance.

James pulled out the chair for Josephine, and once she was sat down, he sat as well, poking at the cake, and taking a bite. "Well, my mother chose this cake, and I guess she chose well, it's quite good," he told Josephine with satisfaction, and taking another bite. His mother appeared then, taking a seat near them. "Well of course it is, you mother happens to have good taste," she told him chidingly, and he smirked at her. James' brothers had taken seats near them as well. Dustin glanced over, giving James an amused look. "Just be glad she didn't bake it herself," he told him with a chuckle, and James and Kyle both laughed at that, receiving an eyeroll from their mother.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Josephine thanked James gratefully, curtseying low to him. She'd have to ask him later whether he wanted her to simply address him as her husband by calling him James, or stay more formal and call him "my king" or "your majesty." For now she'd stick with that if he didn't tell her otherwise.

She laughed lightly, finding amusement in the gentle teasing. "The cake is absolutely delicious," she chuckled, taking a bite from her fork. It really was. While it was rich, it was airy and fluffy and just absolutely perfect. She glanced around the table, taking in her new family members. She really hardly knew them at all. Her own family was sitting at the other end of the table as the second royal family party. Both her parents had proud looks on their faces and the little boys were making silly faces when their mother wasn't looking.

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments James smiled, glad to see Josephine enjoying the cake as well. They continued to eat the cake, his family and her family exchanging friendly words with each other. When they were finished eating, it was time for the dance. James got to his feet, and held out a hand for Josephine to take. When she did, he helped her to her feet, and led her onto the dance floor, receiving several whoops and cheers. He turned to Josephine as he pulled her close to him now, his other hand resting on her waist.
"I should warn you, I'm a terrible dancer," he told her apologetically, his eyes flashing with amusement. "So I'm sorry in advance if I step on your toes." He gave her a warning look, and then glanced up at the band, nodding for them to start the music. James started to dance with Josephine, doing his best not to be clumsy.

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

Josephine shook her head, offering him a smile. "Don't worry about it. I'm terrible myself." Dancing had been something she had had to know from a young age but she didn't feel confident about it and was still sure she stumbled around. She placed her hands in the right places, one on his shoulder and the other into his free hand. She took a deep breath and willed her feet to move.

Jo really didn't dance that badly at all. She seemed to float through the song, even if James thought he wasn't a good dancer. He didn't even step on her toes and for that she was grateful. When their song ended, Josephine lowered herself into a curtsey for her husband and pressed a kiss to his hand. The crowd cheered and clapped around them, excited but also ready to start dancing themselves.

Jasper ~Classy Jazz~ (darkchaoticwolf) | 365 comments James grinned at her response, nodding a little. As they danced, he was mindful not to step on her toes, and did his best to lead her throughout the dance. She seemed to be doing quite spectacular in his opinion, and he smiled down at her, winking playfully. When the dance was over, he felt pleased with himself for not having stepped on her toes at all, and he smiled as she curtsied to him, he gave a small bow in return, and he chuckled when she kissed his hand. His eyes sparkled with amusement as he noticed the crowd wanting to join in the dance, and his brothers were the first ones to start dancing with their dates.

James led Josephine off the dance floor, and back to their seats at the table, but he didn't sit down yet. He pulled Josephine aside, and turned to her, giving her a thoughtful stare. "Well, that wasn't a total train wreck," he remarked, chuckling softly. "You did good. Would you like some more refreshments? I think my mother ordered a bunch of other food, besides the cake, of course... and I'm sure she's got some Champaign lying around here somewhere," he told her, tilting his head to one side inquisitively.

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

Josephine stood beside the king, watching as couples pulled each other out to the dance floor and began swirling about to the next song. "Thank you, my king. So were you. You didn't step on me once," she added, her lips pulling into a faint smile. It was still weird to think of this guy as her husband. She was married to him. "Perhaps we should go see what we have for refreshments," she agreed, nodding. Someone laughed in the distance just above the noise of the music.
