( E ) veryone says the same things about Iris, even those who hardly know her. She has a very quiet disposition, an aura of aloofness seeming to hang over her like a immovable cloud. And she really doesn't mean to be a cool and distant figure; rather, she just finds it hard to open up to people. Iris doesn't do well in social settings, her voice seeming to disappear, her words swallowed up by her own wariness. She isn't sure why she is so cautious of people, only that there is a force that seems to push her away, to keep her from really connecting with others. Perhaps it's because her mind is usually occupied with thoughts of her mother.
And that's the other thing not many realize: Iris spends all for the time she isn't working caring for her brother. Utterly devoted, she spends day and night making sure her brother is comfortable, tirelessly saving for the help dyani needs. So while she can come off as cold, she really has a gentle nature, a timidness about her that arises from the cruelness of human nature and the harshness of the world. Iris is the type of person to protect those she loves, even it seems that she's not really doing much. She's mild, in every sense of the word, possessing a genteel and elusive disposition. But when she does love someone, she never turns her back on them, even if others say it'd be the better thing to do.

From an early age Iris was bullied. She was never fast enough, never strong enough to fight off her antagonists. When her mother died the tormentation never lessened it only got worse. It was like now the bullies had an even more of an opportunity. Things were hell at first, the constant need of escape and the lurking reality of her life.
What was the final straw was her twelfth birthday. She was walking home, as normal, when she had been tackled by a classmate. Her brother found her nursing her wounds in the bathroom. He enrolled her at the academy as soon as she became of age.
On her fourteenth birthday she had been celebrating with her brother with a simple present and cake when a wave of exhaustion hit her. so she did the normal, excused herself and went straight to her dorm. A teacher, the former math one, had already been creepy, made horrible comments **TW**(view spoiler)

At first glance one would probably find Dyani as intimidating. He's tall, larger then average, and fit. If you're shorter and slim, your first thought would be 'jesus christ this guy is large' In reality, Dyani (Mr. Evern) Is a sweetheart. He wants nothing more then to help his students (And younger sister) succeed. Even at the cost of his own well being.
As a child he's always been the protector. The person that his siblings turned to (Jax, Iris, ). He's the truest big brother.

when dyani and iris' mother died, he had a hard time coping. at that point dyani pretty much picked up the position of 'mother' becoming extremely protective over iris and jax. He got accepted into the academy first, then iris and jax is in his first year.
he doesn't -do- relationships. his ex boyfriend left a hole in his heart that he doesn't know how to heal. that is, unless, he find someone that is perfect for him.

growing up, lilac has always been the delicate one. the one to scare their parents whenever she entered a room. Eventually, their mother attached a bell to all of their socks at an early age to hear them walk.
This dampered with their self-confidence and eventually lead them into a life of doing nothing more than fleeing from everything. she's led a cowardly life until recently.
When they were twelve when they got sorted into jasmine, that's also when the letters stopped coming from her parents. she's not talked to them since.
To wrap everything up, her personality comes off extremely guarded, she's only close to the people that she trusts the most (which tends to be teachers, and even then some of them tend to be sketchy.

Lilac was born to a single mother, who was a CLOUD agent for the majority of their life until their step-father came into the picture. It was a brutal childhood, one filled with neglect and hatred. Eventually her mother got fed up and sent them to the academy when they became of age. She's never been back since.
Growing up at the academy had been rough. They pretty much kept their head down, befriending Iris Evern in attempt of clearing their head.
