Anna (annafrommontana) | 417 comments I just finished How The Word is Passed by Clint Smith and all I can say is WOW. I think I will use it for audiobook narrated by the author, but it could be used for several things.

Kim Baker | 88 comments My favorite for May:
The House at Riverton by Kate Morton The House at Riverton by Kate Morton

I have wanted to read that book. I am grateful you brought it up here!

Julie Jordan Scott | 78 comments My favorite for this month was The Authenticity Project by Claire Pooley. It was the perfect level of fun yet thoughtful. I've had a lot of stress this month and have been seeking easy reads - grateful this also fit the "two continents" category!

Sibylle | 12 comments I really enjoyed House of Hollow (goes to the wealthy character prompt). A dark, suspenseful modern fairytale kind of book.

For "household object" I read "The Word Is Murder - also a really entertaining read. A classic whodunnit, told from an unusual perspective.

This: Das Eis-Schloss was for the letter E prompt - a very special, hypnotic book I highly recommend (in english: The Ice Palace)

And I discoverd a new author C K McDonnell (also Caimh McDonnell) and liked his The Stranger Times - Books a lot, just startet his Dublin-Series - so, May has been a really good reading month for me!

Ashley Basile (smashreads) | 11 comments Total Books out of 52 Read: 37

I read the following this month:

✔️Prompt 34: An author’s photo on the back cover
The Girl on the Train (Paula Hawkins) Read: 1-May-2022
✔️Prompt 39: A middle-grade novel
May B. (Caroline Starr Rose) Read: 6-May-2022
✔️Prompt 43: Author who’s published in more than one genre
The Handmaid's Tale (Margaret Atwood) Read: 22-May-2022
✔️Prompt 52: Published in 2022
To Paradise (Hanya Yanagihara) Read: 24-May-2022
✔️Prompt 17: A book picked based on its spine
These Violent Delights (Chloe Gong) Read: 26-May-2022
✔️Prompt 36: Recommended by a favorite author
The Hacienda (Isabel Cañas) Read: 31-May-2022

I'd say my favorite read from these was The Girl on the Train. I put this book off for so long, and I wish I hadn't! I'm glad I finally picked it up!

I'd say my favorite prompt I read this month was "A book picked based on its spine", but in the end I didn't LOVE this book I chose, perhaps because it was hyped up to me and didn't meet expectations. That being said, I did still enjoy These Violent Delights.
