He breathed in fresh air with a happy sigh. The leaves were green and some of them were a yellow-goldish color that he liked. They swayed as the wind blew.

He was ready to turn back to camp and go back to the medicine den, but instead, his paws were guided onward, back towards where his twolegs camped out.He passed the wall the dogs were in and went over the other wall once again.

Lostfang limped towards his camp the pain from the burns he had sustained finally catching up to him. He managed to set the small little kit down before collapsing himself.” I’m so sorry little one…” he managed to cough out before his eyes lost the light they had.

The little kit mewled softly

Ravenstar ran through the forest, seeing the fire burn all around them. He stopped when he saw Lostfang's body, and next to it, a tiny kit. He examined him for any sign of life. "He's dead" he meowed sadly.

Opalpaw stopped and stood next to Ravenstar, recognizing her deputy. "It's Lostfang! she said. Tears started to form under her eyes. "And it looks like this kit was just born" she said.

Cloudbounce held Yewkit in her jaws. She pulled Fernkit in with her tail with a slight purr, not wanting them to be worried.

“We need to leave.” Cloudbounce said anxiously, mouthing around Yewkit. She was afraid for her kits.

Without answering Yewkit, she turned, trotting off towards Blazeclan territory. She looked back at the smoke and flame every few moments, worried.

Fernkit asked, “Where are we going?”

Cloudbounce’s tail twitched. “Somewhere where I can keep you safe.” She answered around Yewkit again.

Ravenstar picked up Lostfang's body, putting him over his back. "Even though he's dead, we can't just his body to burn to ash. The mother needs to see what happened to him" he said. "We need to keep going!" he said. He continued running on the way to BlazeClan.

Opalpaw ran after him, running as fast as she could to avoid the fire.
