Challenge started by @_pagesandnotes on Instagram!

This challenge is all about Pride Month! We want you to broaden your horizons and read outside of your queer lived experience by taking on this challenge.

The prompts listed are for both the color of the cover of the book AND for the content of the book. For each book listed, it is preferred that the prompt addresses the lived experience of the book's main character (i.e. Red cover + Gay main character).

For this challenge, we ask that you do not use books written by or containing problematic authors and/or content. We have included a link to The Literary Phoenix so that you can double-check your author and the content of the book. We want to make this reading challenge a safe space for everyone involved, so please be respectful of this request.

Rules:
The reading challenge will begin on June 1st, 2022, and end on June 31st, 2022.

You do not have to read the books in order of the colors, but the colors and prompts must align.

All types of reading is encouraged. All genres and media types are welcome, from a traditional book format to an audiobook to a webtoon. We want you to feel comfortable reading in the genre you enjoy!

This reading challenge is meant to create community, but we will not tolerate hate and bigotry. Deadnaming, misgendering, or any other type of discriminatory language toward others is strictly prohibited and you will be blocked from participating if you are involved.

Please have fun!
