Beyond Reality discussion

Post here if you are reading or planning on reading The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi. No spoilers please!

So… I guess I have to read Snow Crash now .

I read both Kaiju and Snow Crash last month. In Kaiju the reference to Snow Crash is just a shout-out, so you don't have to read it for that reason. But it's worth reading on its own merits as a seminal work of SF.

Snow Crash is absolutely worth the read. It and Anathem are the books that made me love Neal Stephenson.

But, like Ryan said, its just a quick reference and doesn't have much to do with this story. At least so far, I'm only on chapter 7.

With that said, so far I have been enjoying what I've read. I've already cracked up a few times.

I’m also about chapter 7 - light easy and funny : definitely Scalzi. My spouse was actually laughing out loud when he read it
