Sebastian takes a walk at early dawn and happens upon his dying mother. What were your feelings about Sophie dying without him being able to connect with her?Were you initially disappointed the author made this decision?

I was very disappointed. At a minimum, Sebastian should have had a few minutes to talk to Sophia.

Sharon, I was heartbroken and felt just as you did. After all these preceding stories, I was hoping for more of a reunion.

She must have something planned. In one of her email responses to me, she said she plans out these story arcs well in advance.

Sad and disappointed that Sebastian not only didn't get the chance to reconnect with her, but that his questions may never get answered, at least not from Sophie's point of view.
