The story includes lots of details about the city of Paris, it’s historical structures and their origins. Did that help to give you a stronger sense of setting or was it distracting?

I didn't find it distracting at all. I thought it set the scenes and allowed me to paint a better picture in my head. Sometimes I went to Google to see the area clearer.

This book was loaded with atmosphere, which had me visualize the settings clearly. I’ve never been to Paris (except the airport) so some of these sites were unfamiliar. I didn’t always track the origins but I liked their descriptions.

I have been a total of four days in Paris, but the descriptions and atmosphere put me back there, also back in time. I'm really glad we got to visit Notre Dame, for example.

I've been to Paris twice and the descriptions brought it all back. They were great and not distraction for me. It brought home how some countries really respect their heritage because most of those places still exist.
