Gabriel Allon #21. Worthy addition to the series, although a bit formulaic and rushed toward the end. The plot includes all of the usual intrigue and cast of characters - e.g., multi-service spy coordination, Russia as common enemy and some mixture of the art and music worlds. Given actual US events on Jan 6th 2021, which are loosely captured in this work of fiction, there is an element of the surreal as well. 3.5 stars rounded up. NB - the next book in the series, "Portrait of an Unknown Woman", is scheduled to be released in July.
