What did you recently finish and did you like it or not?

I recently finished Joyland by Stephen King and loved it!

I love King's character work and heart.

Synopsis: Set in a small-town North Carolina amusement park in 1973, Joyland tells the story of the summer in which college student Devin Jones comes to work as a carny and confronts the legacy of a vicious murder, the fate of a dying child, and the ways both will change his life forever.

I recently finished For the Love of Scott and unfortunately I didn't like it. I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style and the characters :/

I just finished Going to See the River Man by Kristopher Triana. I really liked it! I'm happy to have found a new author to read and I've bought a few more of his books :-)
I also just finished Tampa Bay Alissa Nutting. This one is a weird and disturbing and amazing book. You'd better read some reviews first so you aren't surprised by its depravity!

Vengeance Blind

I read The Memory Librarian by Janelle Monae recently and thought it was just fantastic. Beautifully queer and a lovely balance between exploring themes of oppression and overwhelming hope for a better future. Would love to hear what others think if anyone else has read it!
