What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I would like to read something in which hero uses heroine for his purpose but falls in love during that time. Grovel when heroine finds out about his deception. Purpose could be to make his gf jealous, use her as spy, get promotion etc. I have read Loving Evengaline by Linda Howard. I personally loved it even though many didnt like it.

Marian Tee, most of the books I read by this author, have alot of angst and grovelling.
