Let's say present day has gone to hell. And we are now facing an apocalypse , whether is caused by Zombies or some Mother Nature event. Now civilization is imminent of destruction, everything we took for granted is now gone or will be soon. Including Literature, if you could only save one book from destruction, what would it be and why?

JUST ONE!! I don’t know if I could pick just one. Can I lock myself in a library and save all the books in it.

lol that would make the question much more easier... Kara. There's not one book that stands on your shelf that you wouldn't want to lose?

Anthony Uriati | 7 comments That's almost an impossible choice to make. On a solely personal level, it would be Stephen King's IT. If I were thinking of humanity's future, I'd have to say The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.

My choice would be Stephen King's IT. Humanity is already screwed, personally I think Humanity would need more than books to save us. So, why not entertain each other with a great book.

If you're going to make me choose just one, grrrrr.....I will have to go with the extended version of Stephen King's The Stand. Humanity went to hell, almost, in it too.

Here's an interesting point the same year The Stand was released there were several events in the news that suggested society wasn't doing the greatest. One may wonder if we are due for another major apocalyptic best seller.
