Amanda | 11 comments I have gone with an Australian classic, The Man from Snowy River, by A. B. Paterson. Single poem but a good one.
For anyone who has seen the movie much of it will be familiar.

Carol (cquan01) | 645 comments I read And Still I Rise by Maya Angelou that contains the title poem, which is one of the best in the book and other poems divided into three categories. I was thrilled to read some poetry by this incredible author.

Lucilla | 144 comments I've been going through my poetry shelf, rereading all the books I collected in my early 20s and it is not going well. Only two modern poets have made it through the purge so far, When the Moon Knows You're Wandering by Ruth Ellen Kocher and Don’t Let Me Be Lonely: An American Lyric by Claudia Rankine. 22 year old me was apparently way too easily impressed.
