One day when she was a young she-cat, she accidentally stumbled into the forest and met Mosslight and Stoneclaw, Summerleaf's parents, who is the current deputy. They became fast friends, and Summer developed a lifelong friendship with them. She would frequently visit Mosslight and Stoneclaw, and EarthClan welcomed Summer with open arms. She even witnessed the birth of Mosslight and Stoneclaw's kits, which they named their daughter after Summer. Summer was invited to join EarthClan, but refused, preferring her kittypet lifestyle. She was devestaed when she heard the news of Stoneclaw's passing. Losing one of her best friends put her into a period of grief. Despite Stoneclaw's passing, Summer is still very close with Mosslight and her children. To this day, she still tries to visit them as frequently as possible.
