Fritz Leiber discussion

This topic is created for discussing one of Leiber's all-time classics, The Big Time. Let's plan this book for a July 2022 read.

As you might see if you look in the Archive section of our discussions, I have personally tried to read this book before but got distracted away from it with other commitments. It was no shortcoming of the book and I'm ready to give it another go. Others did make it through the book and seemed to enjoy it.

Awarded the Hugo Award for 1958, this novel was originally published in two parts in Galaxy Magazine's March and April 1958 issues. It's hard to believe this novel is 64 years old now. It contains only a few characters, but is set against a vast, cosmic back story. This will make a good summer read if you care to join in! We start July 1.

I was fortunate to get an ecopy of this book from the library. It was a fast and entertaining read, with some strange events and a snappy narrator.

I have to start it again soon. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The first time I tried to read it I got rather confused and stopped.

It is confusing at times so I just went with the flow.
