Personality
Delilah is rebellious and brave. She’s intelligent. She hates when people lie to her and likes to tell the truth whenever possible, though she will lie to protect herself. Unlike most of the population, she’s Divergent and has an equal aptitude for Erudite, Dauntless, and Candor (in that order). She’s headstrong and won’t let anyone step on her. She doesn’t tolerate insults. She can fight equally well with both her fists and tongue. Despite her tough demeanor, she's incredibly empathetic and sensitive, to the point where she's been called soft. She doesn't like hurting people and prefers to avoid it unless necessary.
History
Delilah was born in Erudite. On the day of her aptitude test, she found out she was Divergent. Because she grew up in Erudite, the faction that values knowledge above all else, she and her family already knew Erudite was hunting Divergents, so they chose to go to a different faction. She and her brother had made a promise to their parents that they would always look out for each other, so, even though it was against the rules, both of them told each other their aptitude test results and decided to choose Dauntless for themselves. Her brother’s aptitude test results for Divergence were different from hers (Erudite, Dauntless, and Abnegation). Delilah knew she was too selfish for Abnegation, hence why she didn’t get Abnegation on her test. Her brother wouldn’t have been able to move to Candor. Neither of them would be safe in Erudite, hence why they chose Dauntless.

Delilah is close to her mother. She’s more like her mother than her father. Her mother is brave and would do anything to save her two children.

Delilah has a good relationship with her father. Like her mother, her father understands that due to her being Divergent, she’s not safe in Erudite. As much as he knows he’s going to miss her, he knows it’s necessary.
William Oliver Elson (older brother)
Delilah and William are incredibly close. They’ve promised to always protect each other and stick together. She isn’t very good at upholding the rule/value “faction before blood.” If she could choose, she’d choose “blood before faction.”

Appearance
Delilah has cream skin, short, shoulder-length dark brown hair, and dark brown eyes. After becoming Dauntless, she dyes her hair teal with black highlights, gets a nose piercing, and gets a few tattoos. A Dauntless tattoo on the right side of her right ring finger, and an Erudite tattoo on the left side of her right index finger, symbolizing where she came from and where she went. She also has a tattoo of an owl on her spine as well as a tattoo of a lion on the left side of her abdomen.

Personality
William is brave, selfless, and intelligent. Like his sister, he’s Divergent, however, unlike her, his aptitude was Erudite, Dauntless, and Abnegation instead of Erudite, Dauntless, and Candor. He’s more likely to lie than his sister, and he’s also more likely to deceive and try to trick others. He loves pulling pranks. However, he isn’t mean-spirited. He’ll only kill if necessary. He’s incredibly trustworthy and fiercely protective of the people he cares about. He’s incredibly intelligent, able to problem-solve and get himself out of problems.
