It's a bit expensive though.2019 when I visited/same place - it was around 1.4k
for mid size boxes.
Covid price inflation : /
Also I packed in a lot of smaller paperbacks than hardcovers this time : D
Yes... COVID has led to inflation.
when I got acquainted with bookchor in 2015 /16 all books costed around 39 and I bought too many. later they became 79..and slowly and steadily increased in price. Nowadays I have stopped buying bulk books and buy only sparingly.

Space is always an issue. With so many new books, no space in bookshelves. They've ended up on my bed 🤣🤣
Thanks for the update Nathan. I was thinking to go but it's too far from my place. How's the collection? Do you have any pics of the stacks that they have to offer?
Was it crowded?
Seems like you got a good deal. Please share the spoils (in pics ie) if you don't mind :)

@Gorab: Welcome = )Collection is fine. Most commonly seen authors/works are - Stephen King/Dan Brown/Ken Follet/Bill Bryson/Loreth Anne White/James Patterson/Colin Dexter to name a few.
Compared to 2019, this time I saw a lot more of regional language books - Tamil/Telugu/Hindi/Bengali. Unfortunately didn't see any Kannada books = (
I am not much of a photographer - I didn't snap many pics at the event. Just dived into hunting gems amongst the stacks.
Since I went on a weekend - it was pretty crowded.
I did find some good author/works. Also took some children's novels/light novels. They serve as an icebreaker for me as I read more Horror/Dark/Crime/Gore genre novels these days. Some fluff like these would help me xD
Sure. PFB pic = )
@Gorab: Hahaha. You would probably have read most of them ;)But hope you find good books when you visit ☺️
Ah!! 😃🥺😃 That’s nice! Seems a better collection this time, good to know there are regional language books too! : DLast time I visited I was disappointed with the collection, came back with only 3 books : |
@Aishwarya: Ouch that's tough for regional language book readers. For me regional language are best seen @BookFairs conducted at Palace Grounds / Bengaluru.
Lots of Kannada/Hindi/Tamil/Telugu books.
Those book fairs back then were awesome... now it's dwindled with time : /
@Speedy: I think the bookchor website shows the schedule for cities already. Just check the website once = )
@RF: I checked the website and it had completed in hyderabad during May last week. I now remember, I had seen the advert for that somewhere online but couldn't go. :(Btw, your haul looks really tempting. :D
I guess I'll just wait around for the next fair because I want to do it offline. :)
