i scanned the copy i got with isbn13 9780743234801 . This is also correct on goodreads. However, my book gives me the isbn 978-0-7432-3480-1 (it dosent say isbn13). For the mentioned edition,i also got the same page count. So I thing maybe the isbn is wrong, as goodreads gives 0743234804
Am i correct in my assumption or misunderstanding how isbn work?

What also confuses me in the first pages it says 'A Touchstone Book. Published by Simon & Schuster. but goodreads says published by Touchstone, is this a mistaje?

The dashes in isbns is just to make it easier to read.

Isbn 13 means there are 13 digits, they start with either 978 or 979 & the earlier isbn is isbn 10, with 10 digits, books can have either or both isbns.

Touchstone is an imprint of Simon & Schuster, so Touchstone is correct, as GR prefers the imprint (part of the bigger publishing house) in the database.
