For weeks this was available at my library . . . now that it is time to start reading it, I had to put in on hold! I hope I don't have to wait too long.
Cool, Penny! Glad they had it for free - I have been avoiding Kindle Unlimited because of the subscription fee. Usually the library (both the physical one and their digital download site) is pretty reliable so I can save a few bucks. Every once in awhile it gets tough, though.
One thing I have been trying to avoid with this club is picking titles that are too new or super hot so that everyone doesn't have trouble finding them without spending money!

Ugh - the waiting game continues. I get jealous everytime I see that one of you has started reading this book!
So far so good - actually much more science than humor, which was a little unexpected. But, still funny!
I got the sample from Kindle and thought it was very interesting (and very scientific). I had to really pay attention for some parts and I thought my head was going to explode. I decided not to buy it right now because it was too much thinking for me, but I may get it for my son's birthday. He likes that kind of thing. Then I can just read one a week or something.
Just finish the two about draining our oceans and adding the water to Mars. I thought these were pretty cool!
Uh, I may be more nerdy than most of you. I've actually found the book to be quite humorous. Mostly because I like thinking about all the crazy stuff he's talking about. The book has indeed been much more science than not.
This is pretty much what I expected it to be. I sometimes read the xkcd website, so I'm familiar with Randall Munroe's work. So far, I think it's pretty interesting.
Don't get me wrong, I thought it was generally funny and interesting - but I got a little lost on a few and some of the humor felt forced. So, I guess I am in the middle.
I think I tended to like the less scientific/mathematic/physics based ones, not because I don't like that stuff, but because the ones without it fit my like of random trivia better (i.e. the flyover state chapter)
