After many false starts, the short story we were expecting last September is finally out in McSweeney's 66.

In this story, Uncle Stevie seems to have come full circle, in that it is quite similar to (view spoiler)["Gramma" from almost 40 years ago (hide spoiler)]. When I say, "similar," I mean that at a high level. The details, of course, give us a fresh take.

This story was just about perfect. It's the kind of story that makes people fall in love with reading. Or, if they already are, it will remind them why they fell in love all those years ago.
