I bought it when I was halfway through Hunt The Stars, because I knew I would want to continue.I’ll be starting it soon.
And I’m instantly disappointed, because I hadn’t read the blurb (more fool me, I guess) and had expected the second story to just continue the first. I was settling down, taking in the first page, when suddenly, jarringly, Tavi entered the room, and I realised with a shock that I wasn’t in her head anymore. And I’m not sure I’m as interested in the head the story is occupying. Thinking I’ll change plans read something else first, put a bit of distance between this book and the first. Then I can read that first page without the ‘wait, I’m not who I thought I was’ discomfort.
Having the next book about a different couple makes it much more of a romance series than a SF series. At least it stays with one POV rather than switch back and forth between the two people in the couple like many romances do.
I recently read this and, having shaken the ‘what - who am I?’ discomfort, I loved it! I think these books are a lot of fun. I’ve got a library hold for the third book! :)

Eclipse the Moon was just released.
