Just finished this interesting book. It was only a 3 star read for me but that had more to do with the subject matter rather than the book. I loved the description of Wayra (the puma) and the development of both Wayra and the author. The description of the rainforest and life in the tropics was interesting. The included pictures of the parque and animals were fantastic.
I also recently finished reading this book and OH MY GOD this book was incredible, amazing, everything!! The descriptions of the jungle were so vivid I felt like I was camping for the whole week I was reading it. The amount of deeper healing and self-discovery and just poetry and pure joy and immense love in this book swept me off my feet. I'm definitely comfortable camping for extended periods of time but I can't say I'd be comfortable finding a triple X tick on me (if you read the book you know). As an environmentalist myself I also really loved this book because it humanizes the deforestation and illegal pet trade global problems. 5/5 stars and a new favorite book for me. 💖💖💖♥️♥️♥️
