Call me naive but this update seems extremely hopeful! Several characters “close” to being done!

What do you guys think? Do we see the book in 2023 or are we still going with never?

And even if he finished "WoW", there's still another book to finish the series beyond that.

thats fair, but at least if we get WoW we can see the way the final story is shaping up in terms of Jons death, Eurons Valaryian Armor, the citadel and Pate, the battle of Ice with Stannis and Bolton and the Battle of Fire with Barristan, Victarion and Tyrion. I do not have much faith in the series finishing up but i do think WoW will come out at some point.

Cormac McCarthy just released new books and he is in his early 90s so there is that hope. I still want to see some Dunk and Egg novellas but I guess HBO will finish that tale.

I was so disappointed that the Wild She-Wolves of Winterfell got pushed back. I would love to see a whole different set of Starks at Winterfell and how they interact.
