Stray Kids was the first K-Pop group I'd heard of after I started liking BTS, (about a year and a half ago) and I had always wanted to look into them and become a fan, but I only did that after I started liking other bands. So I first heard of them almost immediately after K-Pop was in my life. Then, I gradually started liking them and they're now definitely one of my favourite groups of all time. I even went to their concert last month, my first one!!!! (It was the best night of my life, literally) It's not really a special story but that's how I got into them and I'm so glad I did!!

There's this quote I really like, "You don't plan it, but you suddenly Stay."

How did you become a Stay?

It’s funny because I was a casual listener of their music ever since Gods Menu (which got them a lot of listens) and I knew all their big songs, Gods Menu, Back Door, Thunderous, Miroh, etc.

But only recently (this March) when Hyunjin’s fancam from the 00s Psycho came into my YouTube recommended I decided to look deeper into the members and all their music. I started by being essentially a hyunjin stan because I knew all of his special performances, watched a lot of his fancams, knew a lot of iconic moments and lines of his and could totally pass off as a Stay if only asked about Hyunjin.

But soon after I got into every Hyunjin-related, I started to get to know the members better. Obviously I already had a basic conception of them (like I knew Felix was the one with the freckles and deep voice) because I knew some of their music before hand, but now I started to know all about everyone.

Soon after (like literally 2 days after) they had their Maniac comeback and ever since I’ve just been absolutely hooked. I also attended their concert! And I agree, it was the best night of my life!

Oooh, that's surprising. I couldn't even try to restrain myself from getting into them when I heard all those songs lol. When 'Thunderous' came out, that was when I really started looking into their music and the members. And before 'Thunderous' came out, other than of course the legend 'God's Menu', the first songs I heard by them were weirdly 'Get Cool' and 'Mixtape: Oh' lol. And I think 'Mixtape: Oh' was what REALLY made me like them from the start, I really loved it when I first listened to it.

I feel like everyone's mostly about Felix or Hyunjin when they first see Stray Kids lol, very understandable.

i remember listening to Hellavator and District 9 and only like watched the MV once cause i mostly listened on like Spotify, but then God's Menu came out and was on my recommended on YT and i watched it and i was really interested so i searched like more of their songs and i realized they were the ones who did Hellavator and District 9 and i absolutely loved them and ive been hooked ever since lol

That's a great way to get into a group! I love when I hear a song from a group and I realize I've already heard some of their songs and loved them!! Your first songs were some really good ones!!

i first knew ab skz in a yt video where one of the fans went to a fan sign. like i was watching that video and then they were being so nice and stuff so i decieded to check out some of their songs. The first result was thunderous and ya........Here is meh with the most listened song on apple music being thunderous with 98 plays...ㅋㅋ

Yeah, and he's never looked like he does in "God's Menu", so that was a real surprise to me look-wise too, it's a totally different look from what he's done before and so far.

my sister was already listening to them and once i was on a walk i played her playlist "powerful walk" with kpop songs that make you go fast and look cool hahaha and there was "any" i believe and i liked it. what happened next... i have no idea... probably starter watching their content etc. i still remember when my sister was recording me when i was learning their names and i was saying "they all look the same" thats my story

honestly I became a stay over covid in 2020, I had listened to there songs alot in 2019 but I listened to every album available in 2020 and just fell in love with them

One day I started to get kpop videos on my fy on tiktok and they were like “kpop idols best outfits” and things like that. And I remember chatting with my best friend and saying I be getting annoying kpop videos on my fy and I always tapped the not interested button but they always came on my fy again. And one day ig because of the algorithm I saw a tiktok in which it said “people saying male idols have a female voice” and then it said “this guy “ while on the background there was a video of Felix singing cooking like a chef. And then I was like hold on and I was sitting there looking in the comments to find out who this dude was. After I found out his name I ran to Google and found out there are 7 more dudes. And that’s how it started…now I’m a stay since a bit over a year and I literally love this person who posted this video and my fy which brought me to the video:)

My Best friend have been in love with Chistopher Chan for soooo long ( I thought that he was a solist artist) and she introduce me to bts like in october 2021 and at the beginning of 2022 I was like "maybe i'm ready to be introduce to another Kpop group" and she did a power point of stray kids and when i heard FAM istg something just made click on my and then i listen to neverendending story and i felt in love with them

Han was like My first bias, them Lee know and Hyunjin my wrecker
Now my biases are Lee know and Seungmin with Hyunjin as my wrecker and Felix is like my sunshine wrecker xd but kinda i'm ot8

I spend like 2 weeks trying to distinguish I.N and Lee Know OMG the same happen with bts, for me Tae, JK and Jin were the sameee until one day i just woke up and i was like bro they are so different, what is wrong with me?

Junghwan and Jeongwoo do look a tiny bit similar though, it's understandable lol.

for me, i saw so many of my friends going to the stray kids concert in LA and then i saw an instagram reel of felix's part in case 143 and then i started listening to just a general stray kids playlist and now i think I NEED to become a stay

also i'm writing custom fanfic and i'm donating all the proceeds for these orders to kesem, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting kids impacted by a parent's cancer. I got a request for a hyunjin fanfic and i think i know what direction i need to go in, but i was wondering if you could tell me what you love most about hyunjin, what this personality is like, your favorite quotes, your favorite verses, etc. I am still a baby stay so any input is greatly appreciated!

I was on ARMY amino and someone was playing N/S by SKZ and I loved it so I looked them up and fell in love with them ever since!! That was back in November of 2018 😁

I was introduced to SKZ in March 2022 but I became a STAY back in July 2023, during their 5-STAR promotion era, one day in June on my live TV, a kpop channel, s-class just popped up from somewhere, it was nice but I heard only changbin's verse as I had to pay for the channel, later in july, i heard the pre-chorus voice mix and I fell in love, syaing "Oh wow! stray kids hv this in their songs too, i thought it was only rap", and i heard the song and I loved it, but that didn't make me a STAY, after hearing back door I was highly in shock bcz of the intense chorus music which officially gave me the title of a STAY

I was watching a 'hottest voices in the kpop industry' video, and Felix came up doing Gods Menu, so i looked him up and found skz and the rest is history

Gotta say, Stray Kids was the group that got me into K-pop. And the reason I got into them was because of a friend of mine. She shared them with me, and now they are staring at me from my bedroom walls. I will always be grateful for that. My life has been forever changed.

I never planned on being a Stay, but I'm so glad I am.

I've been a stay because my sister wanted me to like more kpop but the first group I stan was blackpink but now I stan stray kids because I like their songs but blackpink is equal as stray kids of how I feel of skz and blackpink ! <3

Honestly,, I don't even know. I was drawn to them and their music. When I was at my lowest and depression messed me up,, I'd watch their heartwarming videos and it would make me feel so loved even tho they don't know me, I still feel like they reached towards me. They will always stay in my heart!
