This is the Story of a Happy Marriage is a compilation of various articles the author has written over the years for different publications. Patchett takes readers into her life and shares many of her personal experiences.

While this book is about her two marriages, it's also about so much more. The Introduction to the book does a great job of tying all the essays together, and gives background on her own life. Together the essays comprise a history that was very engaging.

I always think that nonfiction essays appeal to people based on their own circumstances. I identified with so many of these and that's probably why I liked it so much. I believe that anyone who is a fan of hers will love this book.
