WEEKLY CHECK-IN
July 16, 2022 -- Week 29

Last week we chatted about the last book that made us laugh out loud. So we thought a decent follow-up discussion for this week would be, "What's the last book that made you cry?"

Alicia P (alicia_pfromcanada) | 67 comments I enjoyed " Reminders of Him " by Colleen Hoover Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover . The book centers around a mother fresh out of prison as she tries to win her young daughter back. The book is emotional, romantic, and just a great book.

Anna (annafrommontana) | 436 comments I don't cry often at books but I do remember crying at Where the Red Fern Grows when I was in Jr. High. I may have cried at When Breath Becomes Air but I don't have a memory of that.

Lin (linnola) | 18 comments I'm not a crier, but Colleen Hoover's books are tear-jerkers. Love them.
Last week I read My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren. She is my go-to author for humor. This book was very witty and snarky, but one part had me with tears in my eyes.
So this book counts as both the last book that made me laugh out loud and cry!
