Korean Literature discussion

Hello! This is a thread for our August read, I want to die but I also want to eat Tteokbokki by Baek Se-hee.

This is on my nightstand and I am slowly reading it.

The in-person Korean Literature Club in Seoul that I am helping co-lead is reading the "Teokpokki" books for the December 2025 session.

The "I Want to Die But I Want to Eat Tteokpokki" books really take on a somber, new relevance now that the author has died (at the young age of 35).

(The in-person gathering is Thursday, December 11, 2025, in case anyone reading this is in Seoul on that day and wants to join. Consider yourself invited if you see this. Our community is full of interesting people. There is no online component of the main discussion gatherings.)
